Good get with Mayes. Know him a little bit. Comes from a good solid family, has been in the elite system across most age groups in basketball and footy all his life, nice honest country kid.

Hopefully he goes better than his fellow Port Pirie prospects in Jamar and Lewis Johnston (although the Russian was AA and Johnston dominated SANFL without getting a look in at the crows). But that's neither here nor there.
