Here is a little conversation I had on twitter with Brett anderson.

Me: @BrettAndersonIF who the blues looking at for #11? Hope it's a mid - would love Stringer if still there.
Him: @emtwenty Its looking likely that he may be the Blues pick.

Very excited if this turns out to be the case.

Hold up did he mean to say "its looking likely he may be at the Blues Pick"? ... or "he may be the blues pick?"

Go back to Brett and ask him to put in a good word for Raph Clarke...

To be fair he was only going on QUOTES from his manager.
Could just be a case of wishful thinking for me - Stringer is who I want at #11.

Translates to "know one wants Stringer but I rated him high so I'll give him to the next club I know nothing about"

And that's from the 3rd most prominent mock drafter right now! :p

Love your work Sin....you called this Plowman thing a long while back.
Had Grundy a bit further down in my rankings too, now he seems to be sliding.

Plowman to GWS just makes perfect sense to me.

Various mock drafts have Marco Paparone around our 3rd pick. Just watching the highlights reel on afl.com.au

Stick this guy on a wing as a target between the arcs. Let him drift forward when we have possession.

Poor man's Jarrad Waite?

Plays 2 games a year?
Hmmm nah. I meant he's KPP size but plays shorter due to his ability to cover the ground.

We have 4 monsters lined up to play FF/CHF (Levi, Hampson, Rowe, Mitch) but no one to push further up the ground and dart around in traffic.

I wouldn't mind Stringer.

I'd love hearing the commentary go "Stringer, Bell......"

I think GWS are taking a good risk by taking Menzel at 3. They have enough top end talent, that they can take the risk on Menzel as if he didnt have his issues he could possibly be the number 1 player in this draft!

All aboard the Stringer wagon...not sure who Jaggar is, but he seems to come in a package with Stringer.

Oh Shit...Jagger = Jaeger. Seems destined that Stringer will go to GC.

The more I think about Stringer, the closer he gets to my number 1 target in Mayes.

Given the draft is over a week away, I expect him to have overtaken Mayes by then.

This.

Mayes is boring and doesn't get enough of the ball.

I don't think I can look forward to watching a team with: Gibbs, Lucas, Mayes, Yarran.

We have more pressing needs.

He's what I'd call a handy defender. Nothing I've seen makes him really stand out as an early pick though.

Shifter likes him judging from his profile. Says he's one of the most versatile kpp's and has a natural competitive instinct.

I'm not convinced, but I prefer an animal competitor to picking up say Lucas Cook

I'd prefer any animal (or vegetable for that matter) to picking up Lucas Cook :p
