Harford just said on SEN that his info is Carlton are Caddy's 1st choice

I sincerely hope we don't flip around and offer #11.

That may be a little stubbornness on my part but I'd sooner we go to the draft.

Unlikely if his manager is actually confirming Geelong as the front runners.

It seems GC's preference would be Geelongs compo pick for Caddy.

The reporter was relaying this story on SEN. Harford then cut in and said, that may well be GC;s preference but his info is Geelong is not Caddy's preference. When pushed by the reporter who Caddy's preference is, Harford said they wear "navy Blue".

Take it for what its worth.

Personally i think it's a toss up between Pick 11 and Caddy and am not fussed either way. And who knows, we could be offering QLD's own Shaun Hampson and not Pick 11. It's a guessing game.

As long as we stay away from Chris "cement hands" Dawes.

Geelong - that other Navy Blue and White team!

For a late pick if he is still available I would love the club to have a crack at Shane Nelson from West Perth. He was overlooked in last years draft but really matured this year and ended up playing 14 games in the seniors averaging 25 touches a game and still just 19yo.

Hard running midfielder with great skills, he topped the kicking test at last years draft camp.

Hi Shane.

He specifically said it was not Geelong.

Take it for what it's worth.

I heard the conversation and there was no doubt that Harford was saying his mail is Carlton is Caddy's preference .
Now thats just Harford's mail , but he's no shock jock and usually only goes with things he's dead sure on .

1. GWS - Whitfield (mid)
2. GCS - Toumpas (mid)
3. MEL - Macrae (mid/fwd)
4. MEL - O'Rourke (mid)
5. WB - Grundy (ruck)
6. WB - Plowman (KPD)
7. PA - Mayes (fwd/mid)
8. BRI - Garner (fwd/mid)
9. RICH - Wines (mid)
10. ESS - Daniher (kpf/ruck)
11. CARL - Stringer or Garlett

Rough guess for this point in time. I think the Bulldogs will get their ruck and KPD replacements with their picks this year. Melbourne will attempt to draft a midfield (Viney in the second round), Port will go with the SA boy Mayes, Brisbane drafting Garner/Wines, Richmond the other, Essendon obviously get Daniher leaving Stringer or Garlett for the Blues.
Gartlett Not sure, we got enough players that play in flashes of brilliance, need a player that play 4 quarters of footy.

Can I just ask how he gets such decent possession numbers (especially in comparison to some of the players listed above him) and decent tackle counts if he only displays flashes of brilliance?

Talk of Ollie Wines going at pick 4....well I guess we wont see him in navy blue any time soon unless a miracle slide happens :(

Garlett is growing on me too, but I'd still like Stringer over him. Haven't seen anything of O'Rourke/Macrae/Vlastuin etc etc to factor them in though.

Doesn't Stringer have a limp?

There's still room on the Jaksch bandwagon...

SIX-GOAL hauls from forwards Kristian Jaksch and Jackson Macrae have powered Vic Metro to a 96-point pummelling of Tasmania at Visy Park on Sunday.

Jaksch and Macrae, both from the Oakleigh Chargers in the TAC Cup, were instrumental.

Jaksch can play at both ends of the ground as a key-position player and is a superb mark in contested and uncontested situations.

Jaksch could strengthen our spine at both ends.

Kristian Jaksch (Oakleigh Chargers, key forward)

There are few key position players in this year's NAB AFL Draft, but Jaksch is one. He has shown he can play as a forward or defender, and is usually a good kick for goal when he gets his chance. Jaksch backs himself off the field, too. At the AFL's education session, the presenter asked for a response from a Vic Metro player regarding a couple of issues. Both times Jaksch was the Metro player to speak up not only in front of his teammates, but three other teams who were in the room.

You could see Jaksch going in the top ten like Tomlinson who went to the Giants last year. Brisbane might target a KPP this year.

Suspect Jaksch is a Richmond supporter after doing a zeeCFC and reading his Twitter account. #stalker

I'll threaten to do a Splendini type streak if Macrae gets through.

I didn't hear the interview, but Derek Hine said this draft isn't that special. Surprising comments in light of the Filth having picks 17 and 18.

How do you think GWS will draft with the first 3 picks?

Whitfield, Toumpas, Grundy?
Yeah they might do. Whitfield would be a certainty, best outside mid to come along in years to compliment all those inside mids they've got. Grundy fills a big need but with three I'd go Plowman, they're well set for mids now and could add him to their defender stocks and that'd be starting to look pretty complete too. They might just go best available though and then they could end up with someone like Toumpas or another mid.

I was hoping I wasn't the only one thinking Plowman. Would certainly help us get a slider with the Dogs then having to shuffle around what they'd pick.

Get the feeling Tigers will nab the player we want though.
