mate i'll be too busy for that sort of thing...

...photoshopping them into CFC jumpers takes a while!
Praying for Ben Kennedy so you can photochop his head onto Kreuzer's body.
I am already following @wines16 :D
Everyone knows you're a huge perv....

No. I'm just posing the question of needs vs best available
Fair enough.

In any case, as an avid afl.com.au highlights-reel recruiter, I wouldn't rate Grundy as best available. Will be a darn good 150 game player but not freakish in the Naitanui sense. For a teenager he's a beast of a specimen who dominates at U18 due to his frame. He looks comfortable deep in the forwardline but I didn't think his tapwork looked elite.

Who will we take if Brisbane selects Menzel and Richmond takes Vlastuin?

Jaksch or Simpson?
Either of those two, or Kennedy or Mayes.

I'm not sure on the Mayes to Brisbane rumours after they've been talking about Brown and Black replacements, thinking he could be one that slips through if Port don't take him.

Hoping we consider Vlastuin if Brissy takes Mayes and Richmond takes Menzel.

That's what I meant to post.

Mayes won't get through.

Not sure that this draft is all that great. The hype mightn't match the results if Grundy, Kennedy and others slide that far.
for those willing to dream

Wines looks like Brock who is a similar player.

Damn it!

Don't think you can lock anything other than #1 & #10 just at this stage.

The Dogs are in a position to really throw things out for everyone.
Not convinced they'll take Macrae and Stringer just yet and you can bet that there will be some changes to the top ten being offered up right now.

Hope you're right mate. I just can't see the Bulldogs taking Menzel & Stringer. Two players with real injury concerns.

I really think teams are not willing to use top 10 picks on Ruckmen. They would have to be absolute standouts like Natanui or Kreuzer otherwise you are looking at 3 years in development. It appears this draft has about 8-10 possibly elite midfielders so it is wiser to stock up while you have early picks.

You wouldn't think so would you.

Just finding it hard to understand The Dogs skipping on Grundy also.
It's as though no one even cares to consider him going there for some reason.

Ayce Cordy looks more forward than ruck-man for mine and Minson is currently 28 with Grundy capable of being the ideal replacement in a couple of years time.
They may well want the mids more, but they'd hardly go astray with Grundy either.

The issue that I am having is that if Grundy and Jaksch do slide out of the top ten, we may not get the player/players we are all hoping for.

Surely, if Jaksch can play at both end (and is a gun at both) then Brisbane or Richmond would both be very interested? They have a core of midfielders already and Jaksch would be the perfect pickup.

Grundy also with the Dogs and Tigers. Best ruckman for his age and you don't often pick up a guy that is meant to be top 3 at 9???

We need both or at least 1 of them to go top 10.
