I know what you mean, just thinking about speedy types that will appeal to Rogers.

Not sure what Rodgers is looking for, but Wilkens I would prefer a later pick or rookie list spot.
Who knows, I could be wrong as he does have a heap of aspects to love in a player. First 5m are very fast, great leap, good kick....
Wilkens just has not looked at home in the midfield.

Apologies to Eddie for any slight on his character.

And for the record, I did not make it up. I got it wrong. There is a big difference Azul.
No worries, sorry if I went off half-cocked in defending Eddie against the charge of "indigenous kid with off-field issues". Who isn't tempted by bad influences as a 14yo? Something Mrs Betts, bless her, nipped in the bud.

Yeah I was thinking his speed, body size, leap.

As someone who would've watched him a fair bit, van you confirm this for me. There is no friggin way he's only the 183cm he listed as?

As a midfielder, maybe a very, very outside one. Needs to improve his consistency.

I've got the testing results on my other computer, I think it is 187cm... I will check later.

Yes indeed. Should put a statue of Ma Betts up alongside the one of whatever Richmond clown pinched Trent Knobel from under our noses. God bless em both.:thumbsu:

Possibly, hope you're right there. Just reading over his interview again yesterday and he was pointing to Garlett and Armfield as examples of success stories and why he'd like to add more speedy players to the list.
Also said in The Hangout that they have to be able to win the ball and put their head over it, rather than chipscabbing out wide on bigger grounds.

Seven hours to go...

There were serious and seemingly legitimate questions over Darling, relating to his character.

We know he's exceptionally talented and it looks as though he's been able to get over those issues, a credit to him and the Eagles that being the case. I don't consider us passing on him to be a mistake as such, as I'm pretty confident that the player we selected ahead of him will turn out to be a seriously good footballer for many years.
No complaints about Watson - he won me over this year, so we've well avoided a Jarrad Oakley Nicholls situation. Rogers and Hughes don't make blunders, and we can't ask for much more.

However, with JD as an example, are some off-field issues pumped up by clubs looking to cheapen their targets with the connivance of players looking to stay close to home?

- Dont be surprised to see us either take a certain delisted player, or at the very least leave a pick for him in the PSD. We are keen for a matureish age player, whether that be this delistee or a current state leaguer.
- Menzel, Mayes and Jaksch our favorites with the hope Wines will slide.

Whos the delisted player?

**** YEAHH!!!!!!!

Few late tidbits:
- Dogs considering Mayes with pick 6
- Hrovat to Roos a near certainty. Were deciding between he an Kennedy, so if unexpectedly goes before expect the Roos to go for Ben.

Mature-ish = Tuck :D
Are Macrae & Wines totally out of the question?
Bulldogs have dream picks.
