Our 3 selections this evening mean we have no picks in the preseason draft and 2 selections in the rookie draft?

We have 2 spots left, and we can use the PSD, DFA or the rookie draft however we like for these 2 spots ie we can choose to add to the senior list or to the rookie list, or 1 to each.

Given the picks we had, has to be an A. Menzel undoubtedly in the top handful talent wise. Temay needs based has a great resume and will be well schooled on what it takes. Graham a massive slider, touted as top 10, and at very worst builds our depth where we are thinnest. Don't think we could have done better. Adds balance to our list, and we can truly recruit best available in near future, although I fear our first pick next year may be in the 20's

Given the strength of our rookie list, it would not surprise to see the final spots added to there. Not sure of the rules and regs, but if we have scope to use Bell, Curnow, Dale, O'Keefe & possibly Collins at will by not completing the senior list, it would be a massive advantage. Could add a project player or 2. I know there are some dissenters, but as the thread says "our list is fine" ...........and just got better

Garlett would have been +++ if we got him that late

Think this is the first draft i have ever loved for us. Menzel and Graham are steals and Temay fills what in my opinion is our biggest weakness. Would have loved Garlett as well also hope we pick up a KPF in the rookie as I dont rate what we have that highly. hope im wrong but and one of them step up this year

Don't forget it's a "weak draft" and any 18yo KPF would spend a year in the VFL seconds, as Mitchell, Rowe and Casboult all compete at Preston for senior selection.

Any rookie selection might cost us, say, a 3rd or 4th round next year. In which case, we've had another 12 months to assess whether said prospect is a realistic chance.
