Is he the West Perth boy from over east? He doesn't sound too bad as a 2nd or 3rd tall.

Has there been any discussion about Ben Saunders? Would be a good rookie pickup, or late draft pick. Obviously not as tall as Tom Lee, but his record speaks for itself. Kicked 66 goals in the league team, and in reserves kicked 68 goals in 18 games for the 2011 season.
Mature age rookie, and would be ready to play next year, would have to be better than Roberts, Houghton, Sibosido, etc
who couldnt even dominate Wafl.

“Small midfielder who is extremely quick and skilful on both sides. Born in Uganda and has already played senior football at South Adelaide. Played for the World Team in the 2010 NAB AFL Under-16 Championships before playing for SA in the 2011 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships and the 2012 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships. Has a huge appetite for the game and a big upside in terms of future development. From AIS-AFL Academy’s 15th intake. ”
One of the most intriguing players in the draft, I really don't know where he will be picked. I would go earlier than some others might, because I love what I've seen and I've maybe seen more of him than others. His form for SA in the Championships wasn't amazing, but it was only a tiny taste of what he can do. And admittedly, he was somewhat limited by injuries. He provides great run off of half back and through the midfield, and has excellent skills - better than what a lot of lifelong AFL players can do. Skills, speed and run. There are plenty of reasons to draft him.

Just saw the write up on the afl website about Tim Membrey, what's everyones thoughts on him? Think he would be great if he slipped to our second pick but I doubt that will happen

Re Menzel, I would assume that if all of Shaw, Jaksch, Stringer and in the MD, Hogan are not coming to Freo, then Wines, or Kennedy may be available (who knows). I would prefer them given Menzels injury history, including that he has recently re-injured the knee from reports I have read. I just don't think the call can be made this far out from the draft except to say that there should be quality available.
I'm drafting up my rant already. For Christ's sake I hope we take a monster or a midget. If it's a 'flanker type' this board will go into meltdown.
im guessing we'll still grab 1 mid

Carlton seem to be sniffing around every tall forward available. Mason Shaw would be a fairly realistic option for them at 11.
