We really should be convincing Goddard to come over to Sydney. What a coup that would be and he can play up forward.

Does not look to bothered at the moment DA. Might well be looking for that change.
I wonder if we can do a deal with our old pal Pelchen, say a trade. Perhaps one T.Walsh to the saints in exchange for B.Goddard to the Good guys of Club Bloods.
Or perhaps we could just take him, and play him without a clearence. And invoke that little know Football clause - The Foschini-Morwood.
You know it makes sense.

if we don't trade out our first jaksch or Shaw would be perfect for our needs. If there isn't a decent KPP player best available. Don't want to reach for players in this draft

i will scream if they just go for "best available" rather than actual needs again. im sure we all remember how that turned out last time. cough cough lamb cough...

Look at our history of first rounders... Parker's doing all right though. As is jetta and Rohan( well til leg)

Parker wasn't a first rounder.

So based on needs what kind of player did we need?

Parker wasn't a first rounder.

I know, more so saying was best pick available at our pick. Sorry wasn't all that clear.

Lamb has been unlucky with injury for a fair portion of his short swans career

Need tall defenders for when Mattner and Teddy retire.

Mattner isn't a tall, and we've got Campbell Heath, who I'm quietly confident about and who reminds me of a cross between Craig Bolton and Teddy Richards, but a better kick (obviously at this stage it's hard to tell of he's up to it at senior level though). Plus Jordan Lockyer, Jack Lynch, Alex Brown and Tommy Walsh all look capable of maybe playing key defensive roles.

I see our first round picks are up for discussion again... here's the summary, not including traded picks

2003 - Josh Willoughby (0 games)
2004 - N/A (traded for Darren Jolly - 118 games)
2005 - N/A (traded for Ted Richards - 139 games)
2006 - Daniel O'Keefe (0 games)
2007 - Patrick Veszpremi (11 games)
2008 - Lewis Johnston (2 games)
2009 - Gary Rohan (22 games)
2010 - Jed Lamb (0 games)
2011 - Tom Mitchell (0 games)

Bolded names still on our list. Can we please, pretty please, trade our pick?

So based on needs what kind of player did we need?
as mentioned a ruck would be my first choice and a kpp second on the list. we already have a strong midfield with plenty of midfield talent stuck in the twos unable to get a game. i guess what im trying to say is no more midfielders!!!!
