If I remember correctly the only time we'd spoken to conca before drafting him was at the combine and the night before the draft.
FJ does like to keep others off the scent so maybe he will do somthing similar?
I know the crows only spoke to talia a few days prior to the draft for the first time assuming he wouldn't make it to their pick because of Carlton

It's amazing how clubs can try to guess and plan what other clubs will do.
Particuarly when Talia was our third preference for that selection:
1. Lucas
2. Pittard
3. Talia
4. Jetta

Think it was a couple of days before the draft Emma broke that we were going to take Conca and he had to get flown over as they presented the top 10. So id imagine we would have told him 3-4 days out we will select him if avaliable.
Also just cause we havent spoken to a particular kid dosent mean we havent enquired about him. You can learn a ton from talking to people involved with the player without ever having spoken to the kid.

Just because you're saying you haven't interviewed him, at a particular point, in an official capacity.
