Hopefully their drafting of Clay Smith last year means that they have addressed this need - given they already have Liberatore and have just recruited Koby Stevens.

Wouldn't suprise me to see Brisbane pull the trigger on Wines to replace an the ageing Simon Black.

But from all reports they are keen on Jaksch/Macrae.

Recruiters are tight lipped - so they don't give much away - a close friend of mine who works as a recruiter for an interstate club sent me how he expected the Top #10 (without our Pick FFS) to pan out, according to his logic and the intel from Port Adelaide.

But that was a few weeks back now, so things would have changed - and the news over the past 24 hours (regarding GWS committing to Plowman, Whitfield, O'Rourke) have turned that original list on its head.

The linchpin in the draft is Port Adelaide.

If they take Grundy, it pushes another midfielder out to our selection (means one of Mayes/Wines/Vlastuin/Macrae will be available at our selection).

However given they have re-interviewed Macrae ... I won't hold my breath.

Heard this morning that GWS are likely to leave Toumpas and Melbourne will take him ahead of Wines, Which leaves Wines to the bulldogs but will likely take Macrea and Menzal as they already have a mountain of inside mids. Port have almost commited to Grundy and Brisbane are tossing up between Mayes and Jaksch.
Surely we would take Wines over Vlastuin? Wines reminds me of Dusty.

Who are GWS taking then? Whitfield, Plowman and O'Rourke?

Lol it won't be late mail to the clubs though. They watch them for three years so just because big footy is starting to notice him doesn't make him a bolter.

If even more than just one or two clubs had been considering him a Top 10 pick for a while then trust me, it would've got out long before less than a week from the draft.
