I seem to remember a bunch of armchair experts wanting Mitch Grigg last year and how they would spew if we didn't take him. We didn't and now he's been delisted. You can all p*** off. Unless you like Tigs and MR have actualy followed the juniors all year your opinions are worthless.
No, only the highlight clips and what I have read in forums and the media. From this I formed my opinion, and my opinion is the club better be very confident in Vlastuin at pick 9. There are some highly rated alternatives.
Thanks so much for the kind words everyone. I really do appreciate it. It's been an absolute pleasure to discuss the draft this year with all of you and I look forward for the years to come.

Yep agreed plus I can't f#£king stand the show the X factor so I'm all for the ban![]()
Huge difference. There was actually nothing wrong with Selwoods knee. I saw the orthopaedic surgeons report on it back in 2006 (Mr Hayden Morris).
This guy has already had a LARS procedure. This has been discredited all around the world (banned in France) and when you go back in to reoperate on them the whole thing is all fraid and fragmenting.
If you are willing to go down this path don't be disappointed with him if and when he breaks down.
We didn't bring in Chocco for no reason. If Garlett is available at our 2nd round, I'd expect us to take him. Richmond is aware of his talent, I can assure you of that.
Gents been a pleasure discussing things wy all.
Its an interesting time one night before the so called super draft.
stuff this up and it will put us back 2 years, this is the crucial one, there is one more cleanout to go next year and then we are okey dokey PROVIDED we draft right.
I will only be happy if we draft a player with x factor, the mids are there dont worry about that.
come on tigers, be bold be strong and bold oh were from tiger...yellow and black
Shifter is a 'tool'!![]()
Wasn't I supposed to be Blair?so when do you leave fj?
There was something on him earlier that said a doctors report on his knee said he was eligible for a normal reconstruction if needed. Or something to that effect. Would that make him a less risky prospect?
Wasn't I supposed to be Blair?
im trolling for anything i can get mate but your not biting! im still convince you do have role tho!!!!!!!!
just a suggestion after the draft tomorrow the phrase X Factor should be banned from this forum .No one actually knows what the phrase means and no one knows how it applies to afl
THe genetics involved here have never been studied well enough to be able to categorically say if it is a risk factor one way or the other. One would be a brave man to say it has nothing to do with it. We know connective tissue alterations exist that are genetically linked for other disease processes (Marfan's syndrome etc). Not enough information exists here though. An intelligent guess in the Menzel case would be yes, there may be a genetic reason for these ACL tears, or at the very least contributing to them.AT you seem to be from a medical back ground, what the slows on the LARS acl repair as ive seen a surgeon who wanted to do this to my knee (my acl is a little stretched not torn)? is there a genetics theory in play here considering his brother has done 2 already and if he did do it again from my understanding the bridge(or sheath) which is formed to fit the artificial ligament is done over the normal acl in the hope the normal acl grows with it, what it like to remove the LARS for a more tradititional acl repair?
Not knocking your creds but seriously medical advice on BF?THe genetics involved here have never been studied well enough to be able to categorically say if it is a risk factor one way or the other. As for yourself, I would not like to give an opinion except to say, that unless you are a high performance sports person that must do this to return back rapidly to their professional sport, I would err on the side of caution and avoid LARS. That is definitely the current thinking.
Lol Adelaide.
Admitting they over-achieved this year. Realising they'd prefer to lose this year's 20 & 54 than two lower picks in, say, two years time... assuming the AFL takes away their first two round picks for two years.

"Some late mail for Grundy" re Tigers
If Menzel is available at 9 and we don't take him, we're stupid.
If Menzel is taken and Grundy is available, we would be stupid not to take him. The perfect CHF in the next 5 years. He'll be ready to play next year.
If Grundy and Menzel are taken, then go for Vlastuin or Wines.
Menzel's the guy that we MUST take if he slides to 9, he's going to be the next Stevie J. Not that Vlastuin or Wines won't be any good, but we've got to persevere with Arnot, who I think could really develop in the next few years.
