Gee wiz nicko, hardly a compelling argument my friend...most of them have done nothing more than a pick 60 something, therin underlining my point , dont squander first rounders on ruckman
I look at it quite a differet way. I would be quite happy with any of Naitanui, Kreuzer, McEvoy, Leuenberger, Ryder, Mitch Clark, Max Bailey or McIntosh on our list. We have Vickery but I agree with some others that he is a forward, not a ruck. The only ones I haven't included in the list above are the few drafted in the past two seasons plus Lobbe and Minson. Can you tell me which ones above didn't turn out as value at a first rounder? Maybe Bailey and McIntosh but injury rather than skill has held them back.
I still reckon KPP's are worth their weight in gold. If we had the option of a ruck or an equally skilled small player I would take the ruck every day of the week. They don't grow on trees. You could get lucky and get a Cox or Goldstien later in the draft or you could be unlucky and end up with a Andrew Browne, Tom Derrickx or Angus Graham.
