Bloody close to it. He is a jet. In fact without knowing the stats, I am going to highly doubt your statement. Seen Garlett rip up the turf like no one else. Jetta the quickest I have seen but Garlett comes close.
I went tonight, watched the game closely. The likes of Mitchell was great in close, but in a close game, that class and zip and x factor that can swing a game did. Rioli was amazing, as was Jetta last night. Garlett in the yellow and black gives me goosebumps. Don't need to look at the stats for that game, because if your a stat watcher you miss these guys game and the importance of it. Momentum shifters they are. Very hard to do. They both do it. These types do it.
I totally understand the need for an inside midfielder. Totally get your argument. But I simply rate Garlett that high, and your argument to me means we will be taking a player I rate less. I won't change my opinion. On needs, I think both are needed, inside grunt on baller and x factor outside skilled player. So to me, whatever is best you take.
If we are on the MCG next September, the expectancy when it goes forward to have someone who has that pace and can do anything will be amazing. Cotch, Deledio, Martin, Foley, Tuck will drive us, a guy like Garlett can turn it into gold.
