I assure you that this is not 'made up junk.'

I don't expect any of you to believe me, but I don't want people tarnishing my name.
It's ok MR, you're one of the few who I put a reasonable amount of weight on what you say... was more a gentle dig at the previous poster getting stroppy and demanding you name names ;)

I was told by someone who works at the club that Richmond see Ben Kennedy as a small forward who can pinch hit in the midfield and there isn't much interest on him. Just because I'd rather keep the names disclosed, it doesn't mean that it automatically becomes opinion. If you would like, I'll stop passing on the information I am told onto this board. I'm not like one of those Tradesperts or Deepthroats etc, I am an honest Tiger supporter who is fortunate enough to sometimes hear things.
Your insights are greatly valued MR. I'm sure I speak for pretty much all of us.
Sincerely appreciated:thumbsu:
Poor darts by that bloke who affronted you. :thumbsdown:

Thought i'd see how well we had drafted of late, so picked 3 drafts, 2004/2005/2008 and re-picked them with hindsight to see what our team would look like, to be honest we would have one the premiership by a good mile, even if just a couple of these had gone our way we would be well into the finals, just shows how vital drafting is and why we have been at the bottom for so long

#4- franklin -> tambling
#12- monfries -> meyer
#16- van berlo -> polo
#20- le cras -> mcguane
---------------------
#8- m.clark -> oakley nicholls
#24- aswallow -> hughes
-------------------
#8- ziebel -> vickery
#26- beams -> post

Bar franklin and probably beams, there was no real standout picks following our ones, but had we got these right we could have a team something like below

FB:Morris Chaplin Grimes
HB: Newman Griffiths Rance
C: Grigg Cotchin Van Berlo
HF: Deledio Franklin Martin
FF: LeCras Reiwoldt Clark
FOL: Maric A.Swallow Beams
INT: Foley Tuck Ziebel Edwards

Depth: Conca, Ellis, Houli, Nahas, Batchelor, Knights, O'Hanlon, Monfries, Elton, King, Dea, Helbig, Jackon, McGuane, Arnott, Graham, Darrou, Verrier, Derickx

Anyway just a bit of fun and something to do, interesting to see what could have been had we had proper recruiters a few years ago, just shows doesn't it!

Pointless exercise because if we had say taken Buddy, M.Clark, Swallow, LeCras and Van Berlo in those first 2 years we wouldn't have Martin and Cotchin running around.

Every club can do this banana.... Sh!t I could do it with my Supercoach team! The draft in the past was an educated guess... These days it's much more organised (TAC, draft camps, combines, AIS academy) so there is more exposure and clubs have a much better idea of who they are chasing.
Appreciate the effort and the team you named would be unbeatable but leave it in the past and look forward.
Very true what tigs and bluestyle said. Things happen for a reason, it's just that ours has caused us pain and is only now looking good.

International rookie that Yannick Crowder

With his size I reckon his has the best shot of all the US blokes
Being 200cm+ means that he won't be the next Israel Falou

6'8 215lbs. Someone can convert that but I think its about 203cm and 98kg?

Each club has the capacity to list one Irish player as well as three other internationals on their rookie list for development players.

Does this mean that we can have like 9 or 10 rookies?

Would say it tallies 12? Provided we don't have veterans outside the list. Have heard we have been targeting an American for awhile. Judging by the article yesterday its Yannick Crowder. Gideon Simon would be a second international. Could still fit one more plus an Irish guy.

Is that possible? So those internationals don't count as the ones we have to delist due to spot places?
Interesting to see Gideon Simon tested well in the repeat sprints at the Combine.

Repeat Sprint (secs)
Matthew Haynes - 23.91
Harrison Marsh - 24.32
Dean Towers - 24.48
Leigh Osborne - 24.74
Joshua Kelly - 24.91
Tim Broomhead - 24.98
Jesse Lonergan - 25.12
Gideon Simon - 25.18
Dominic Barry - 25.19
Tim O'Brien - 25.19
Ours for the taking.

Screw the irish guys. No offense to any irish people but gee are they freakin homesick and by our history we've done jack all with irish rookies. Heslin was supposed to be a star, thank god he didn't take up a senior spot.

Good time by Gideon. Can't wait for him to play for us. IMO will be sooner than many think. Kid can play. Tricks coming out of his backside.

Also interesting is Harrison Marsh/Tim Broomhead/Jesse Lonergan speed.

Dean Towers - 24.48
He also broke NicNats verticle leap as well from reports

again i thought he broke Trent Croad's standing vert jump?

now i get it
croad held the record at 83cms, nic nat only recorded 78cm, so by breaking croad's record he also broke nic nat's
confusion cleared :thumbsu:

Jesse Lonergan has gone from pick 50 to wouldn't mind at 31 IMO

Edit: Ignore this I got him confused with Ballard (I don't know how either)

Andrew Boston with a perfect score in the goalkicking test. FWIW...
Would trade 31 for Boston and 44. Would actually just trade 31 for him but hey they won't use 44 anyway and we will need some picks.
