International rookie that Yannick Crowder

With his size I reckon his has the best shot of all the US blokes
Being 200cm+ means that he won't be the next Israel Falou

Have we any genuine interest in a rookie from the US, back up ruck anyone ?? What can you tell us KIWI TIGER ?? or anyone else who has heard ??

Yer we've certainly been looking at them all year. Think Yannick Crowder is the one we are heavily in to from the article the other day.

I hope we use at least a rookie pick on Steve clifton even though he kind of failed at GWS (though he didn't get much of a chance). I think he would make for good depth as well as making coburg stronger which may sound stupid but if we can make coburg competitive it will help with development of a few of our players like elton. Also think we should get Dusher from bendigo, Sundberg from collingwood, Haretuku from frankston (I think).

I think there are better out there than Clifton to be honest. Duscher I like same with Haretuku. Sundberg I liked last year but is coming off a knee this year. If he didn't go last year I can't see it this year.

Also, the Matt Clarke interview today. Can we read anything into the fact the footage was of Broomhead, Boston and Warrell? :p

Well we are having an interview with Lee so seems we have some interest... with a handful of other clubs.

http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/after-staggering-lee-finds-his-feet-20121004-272as.html

The clubs that have interviewed Lee at this week's draft combine - Fremantle, Brisbane Lions, Geelong, Richmond, Melbourne and St Kilda - have all wanted to know the same things, and he hopes he has convinced them how serious he is.

Just out of curiosity if WB got Jed Anderson does that count as GWS listed player or is Zone selections completely separate? And could we chuck in pick 30 in the Tyson deal to get Lee? Also if that happened would we still be required to draft 3 players with picks 32 and whatever our next 2 are??

Cheers.

Would you do Tyson and Lee for 9 and 30??
Yer. I think Tyson is worth that alone. I think Lee would go late draft so it would be more as an assurance we would get him. Towers is the other if he is eligible. May as well take the best one and I think he is better than Lee. Think he could be the quick outside mid we need. Only thing is not sure if he has nominated for the draft before and therefore not sure if he is eligible for pre-listing.

I just Lee as being able to come in straight away and take pressure of Jack.

I love Tyson and hope he ends up the club but obviously the problem is GWS not using picks after 24, i think the key might be for us to find someone they can package up 24 and 30 for something higher.

Just heard on SEN about the questions these kids get asked...

1. Sell me this packet of chewing gum
2. Count back in 7's from 160
3. Call a horse race

WTF...are these guys serious? I'm sure you can work out if the kid is a dick or not by asking him some normal questions.

These kids have been prepped within an inch of their lives, and recruiters found they were just getting rehearsed form letter answers. These are designed to throw the kid off kilter, responding more spontaneously, and forget the rehearsed stuff

And even so, these questions achieve what?

And even so, these questions achieve what?

I bloody hate these stupid interview questions. Like "Tell me why you want this job?" and what you want to really say is "So I can put food on the table and play the bloody mortgage you moron!" Sorry...I digress:D

It gets them off their preparation. They have a "WTF?!?!?" moment, and have to start thinking on their feet. Initially the questions are the silly ones like this, but they return to the real stuff pretty soon. Player of course is in reaction mode now, still trying to figure out the agenda behind the questions, and is more likely to let a bit of honesty slip while they try to get their bearings back.

Next time I do job interviews at work I'm going to get them to do commentary on the Melbourne cup. lol

Yannick seems to have the physical attributes by the sounds of things, does anyone have any further info on him? seems an interesting possibility.
Cheers fellas :thumbsu:

Tim Membrey has grown to 190cm and ran a 2.99sec sprint. Not bad by the big fella. Will almost certainly go first round at 190cm I would think.

LMAO...wow how many steps did that take? 4? I mean, count out 3 seconds...big ****ing deal..
