They would be 1 of the teams that would have genuine interest in Stringer if still on the board.
Better options on the board at 11. Though judging on Carlton's recent drafting pick 11 could be anyone but ultimately end up a spud. Lucas, Watson, Bootsma.

Recommend people having a watch of Baldasso video on website. Really like the kid. Not much exposure at the Champs. Would take him at 31 but wouldn't surprise to see him at 50. Not unlike us taking Helbig as a relative unknown.

Saw a bit of Titch Edwards in him. In a good way... i.e. no footage of him hitting the post from 15m out, running in on a 45 degree angle

:D

Really like him as a prospect. Decent height at 183cm. Needs a bit of weight but can play inside and outside. Got a bit of burst away speed from the packs and can win quite a few clearances. Think he is a good mid-draft prospect.

I'm not too sure about Baldasso's draft position. He is in that group of players from SA who I would consider from the third round onwards, but from what I have seen I think his testing at the Combine may have hurt him. I think it could have teams questioning his ability as a midfielder at higher levels. His kicking alone is enough to get him looked at in the rookie draft, but I'd have him behind a number of other South Australians who aren't guaranteed selection in the National Draft - Tulio DeMatteis and Nathan Stark for example.

Reading between the lines, I'm gathering you're referring to things like beep test/3km test etc that would indicate his endurance is limited? Seems he has good burst pace, and you alluded to his kicking being good enough.

Actually, no. It was his sprint and agility times that were disappointing. His testing in that regard was comparable to that of Jack Hannath - a 21 year old ruckman. You could argue that he plays faster than what he has tested at, and that may be true. The fact that he is such a smooth runner definitely helps. But I also think it could be a case of him just reading the game better than the opposition in the SANFL U18s, which gives him an extra few seconds - which he likely wont have at AFL level.

I just have a feeling that he'll be looked at as a defender at AFL level.

Whats your opinion on anthony bonadido , do think he would last until the rookie draft andwhere would you think he would play at AFL . Just as a small foward or could he go through the midfield

People who know, who would you compare MacRae to? Im hearing really good things about him from guys who have played against him

Pendlebury at the same age. I took him with our pick in the phantom draft, this was my write up.

Pick 9 - Jackson Macrae - Oakleigh Chargers

I love Vlad and I think O'Rourke will be a gem, but I really see Macrae becoming a genuine elite footballer. Currently, he is an outside midfielder, but he isn't afraid to put on a tackle and can easily win his own ball. Macrae moves like Pendlebury and just has just more time than others. He puts others into space (like Cotchin) and just sees things that others don't. He has excellent skills and can go forward and kick a goal. He is just a smooth mover who loves to take players on. He is arrogant in a sort of good way too, like a 'I'm much better than you, and we both know you're not going to get me' type of way. Macrae is a proven big-game player as he won the Norm Smith equivalent for his GF and also kicked the winning point to win the game for his team. I personally see him being our Scott Pendlebury, I mean you can just see that raw uniqueness in him. Too good to pass for me.

Hi guys, just thought I'd let you know that a bloke by the name of Pat Ambrose is training with you at the moment and was tested in beep test in the last week and he smashed the absolute shit out of it... 16-2. Played for Coburg/Old Xaverians.

PAT AMBROSE BEEP TEST: 16.3
he did this training with essendon last week, the AFL record is 16.1, he smashed it!
he is 6 ft 5 inches, 100 kg and played at coburg then old xavs at CHF this year. played u23 vic state team against WA this year, came 2nd in old xavs B&F to Mathew Ball by one vote AND missed 4 games.
he is training with hawthorn next week, and talking to sydney, but not richmond.
his brother, murphy ambrose is training with collingwood, but not richmond either.

I would say he is too small to be anything more than a small forward, but 174cm is the same as Ben Kennedy and Nathan Hrovat. And both of them will be midfielders. For some reason though, I do think Bonaddio is too small. He just seems to have a slighter build than those other two.

My money is on rookie draft, possibly being overlooked.

There was alot of chatter about Kennedy going top 10 early on but have noticed most have down graded him , Do you think there may be any chance he could slip to the early 2nds - Looks like there are a few late bolters coming

With the likes of Jackson Macrae and Kristian Jaksch seemingly improving each week, and underrated guys like Nick Vlastuin still hanging around, the competition for top 10 is really heating up. And I think Kennedy might just miss out, although who knows what'll happen if Port Adelaide are gifted an early compensation pick. Personally, I wouldn't have him missing the top 20 though.

I'm hoping for an O'Rourke pick these days. Tiger blood and has all the tools. Make it happen Tigers.:thumbsu:

He is a Tiger supporter as well? Really like the 20 secs i saw of him on TAC Future stars a few weeks back. Just looked a class player/mover and skill. Only 20secs but it caught my eye. Without seeing proper footage of anyone yet, O'Rourke is the player i want as well.
