Tac cup Averaged 20 possession 1 goal n 4 tackles per game playing midfield- f/pocket not 174cm is 175.5 and 78kgs . You would find most kids heights and weights have been wrong for some time now .highlights on bonaddio are on draft watch thread

I actually posted a clip of Bonaddio a couple of weeks ago and agree that he certainly isnt slight , very much hard at it kid with physicality- very smart small player but consistancy is the issue - Would love him at punt road but probably pick #60+ - Rookie ............... Love to get him as a rookie pick

Good to hear comments that are accurate lol agree with u , didn't have the best start to the year but finished very strong kicked 22 goals for the season polled 11 in the morrish medal , 4th b&f for the knights and funny enough won most consistent for the knights , shame he only had one game for Vic metro as players who played most game get a lot more exposer n talked about more

Even if Bonaddio is 175cm and 78kg, Hrovat is listed at 175cm and 79kg. :p

I haven't stood next to either, so I'm just going by what I see when I watch them. Maybe saying he has a 'slight build' was the wrong term, but he doesn't look as strong on the field as either Hrovat or Kennedy to me. That's not a criticism of Bonaddio by any means, Hrovat and Kennedy will likely be first round picks for a reason.

All good chris , listed weight can't really tell you much bonaddio is very lean strong core n legs , hrovat n kennedy would be more dominate agree but wouldn't say as damaging , agree those too could go first round and deservedly so . Wouldn't care where bonaddio goes just hope he does as he is a smart player and in an afl club could excel

Agree. We need a back up for Jack. What happens if he goes down long term? At least as a young back up he could develop. The kid is a very accurate kick and can take a grab!

Todd Elton, Ben Griffiths are full forwards in the making. Ty has already shown he can play there. And Astbury could most likely be serviceable there too. Shaw is most likely a luxury we can overlook in favour of a mid.

Dont think so tbh, I think we will be looking at Mids - Medium fowards with Elton/Griffiths/Astbury/Riewoldt on the list

I would rather look at McBean later in the draft- with a view to him taking on some ruck duties and able to play CHB

I think it will come down to who is available at our second round picks. We will get a mid/forward with the first pick, later better mids in the next 3 years or so so do not necessarily need to get a semi avverage mid with our second round picks, we could easily top up on a CHF prospec and or other forward as haven't got that down pat yet and any surplus can be traded off if necessary as many clubs like the bulldogs simply lack the quality tall timber. Look at Dawes, if White or our CHF prospect turns out half decent we can trade him for a top 6 draft pick going forward:D

You need to draft best available with your first 2 selections imo, If grundy is available - You must take him then with your remaining selections where the quality drops off you can possibly have 2 players of similar standing - then you would select for needs , But should always go for best available to get the best talent coming through.

Draft best available & Trade for needs

Last year, if we had won the games, that we were in front late in games, we would have finished top 4, and we beat both Grandfinalists on the MCG.
Lots have done their best 22 - 30 so far. And the forward line / back up insurance seems to be the weakest link in terms of finals or better. And our young players still need to develop before they can be a force.
Many on here over the last couple of months have suggested names, eg Cloke, Grant, others available in the drafts, to improve our forward line.
With everyone fit and firing we could be one good player from a Grand Final.
For the last couple of years we have continued to bomb the ball in to the forward 50 due to lack of leading forwards, resulting in opposition double teaming Jack.
All will have an oppinion on this, but the best forward still available is Fevola, and that would give us numerous benefits.

At worst he would kick goals at Coburg and be insurance / put pressure on our KPF's to keep performing.
At best he would straighten us up, draw the double teaming or Jack, and kick more goals than our developing forwards.
At 2 goals a game, that is 48 for the year.
Assuming that all is good Fev, Can you imagine both Fev and Jack firing up forward for us!.

Too old you say! - Look at recent FF's (age / goals) They don't forget how to kick goals
J Brown 31/47.
G Ablett 35/69, 34/122, 33/129, 32/124, 31/72
T Lockett 32/109, 33/82
M Lloyd 31/35, 30/62
J Dunstall 34/54, 32/102, 31/66
F Gehrig 31/59, 30/71
T Modra 31/50, 30/71.

No I am not Fevola, Just a long frustrated fan, that see's a massive opportunity.

Are you crazy Vossy?

Are you crazy Vossy?

Hahaha - was expecting something like that.

I wouldn't trade for him, pay him heaps, or offer someone else as trade bait.
But given he kicked nearly 50 at Brissy in one year, I would certainly put him on the Rookie list at modest pay and give him a chance to prove if he is good enough.
Worst that can happen is that Tigers would sack him, and make an another example to our young players, that we give 2nd chances, but will not put up with shit. Win - Win

You are forgetting one small detail. He is now too old and his body is falling to pieces. He may influence our youngsters in a bad way and bad habits are hard to get rid of.

Just a big NOOOOOOO on so many counts it isn't funny

I agree, there are risks. But it is also a risk to all our eggs in one basket, when we want to play finals.

Hey Ancient Tiger, do you think the risks are higher than we took when we brought in Cousins and even Miller? I agree if his body is gone then it could be too great a risk, however if it's not, based on medical and fitness tests, then there could be reasonable upside!?

Ben wasn't a saint and Miller wasn't going to be playing by the time we built a list that would play finals consistantly...it's already been said but he could be the doozy!

I'm starting to really hope we land Stringer somehow. Just got a feeling this kid will be the best of the draft.

Pretty sure the Dogs or GWS will take a punt on him though.
