Well hasn't the landscape changed RE: Izzy Folau. Can only mean Tippett to GWS surely. With one of their first three?
Might free up a fair hunk of $$$ required if he terminates the contract too

Folou development is interesting. I reckon Tippet will go the PSD route, rather than ND, but could be wrong. Also wouldn't be surprised if he did go ND, GWS might take a gamble that he'll last till pick 12 (much talk has been the swans are the only club who can afford him). Not sure he'd quite warrant a top 3 pick, personally. Lions at pick 8, maybe, if he did happen to go via the ND.

Yeah PSD makes sense, as GWS would have the first pick there and wouldn't jeopardize recruiting top-end talents.

From what I've heard GWS will be looking at something similar next year (Tyson/WHE/Adams) plus anyone they sign this year.
Wouldn't it be beautiful if we take Tyson and/or WHE next year and O'Rourke the following year.

Hmmm, good point. Tippet is screwed either way, unless everyone else decides they don't have, or don't want to spend the amount he's demanding in terms of wage.

Can't say I feel too sorry for him.

If GWS want Tippett then Tippett is screwed. They have 5 bloody picks in ND before Sydney and he'll be best player in PSD.
Are GWS in the PSD. The year we got Houli didnt the AFL not allow the Suns in the PSD???

Suns had first 5 picks that year but chose to only take 1. Last year GWS passed their picks. This year it's just normal based on ladder finish.

This is going to win games of footy sometime soon ... it is scary to see:

B: Stephen Gilham, Phil Davis, Tim Mohr
HB: Adam Kennedy, Chad Cornes, Thomas Bugg
C: Tom Scully, Toby Greene, Dylan Shiel
HF: Adam Treloar, Jonathan Patton, Lachlan Whitfield
F: Devon Smith, Kurt Tippett, Jeremy Cameron
R: Jonathan Giles, Stephen Coniglio, Callan Ward
Int: Will Hoskin Elliot, Jonathan O'Rourke, Jimmy Toumpas, Dom Tyson

Just thinking about the whole dees situation wouldnt it be ironic if AFL punished them but taking away premiership points. I mean thats all the Dees were trying to do in the first place :D

my understanding is you can only nominate a figure on your head if you go in the PD, so that would mean that he won't be available in the ND?

Yeah, but as they say, a champion team will... ahhh, who am I kidding, we're screwed! :(

Pretty sure Luke Ball put a number on his head for the ND when Collingwood nabbed him

In reference to recruiting Grundy, will probably depend on if we think we can get Tyson next year. If we are pretty sure we will and Grundy is available then absolutely yes we take him......no questions asked.

From what I can pick up from the Bulldogs, they'll be having a MASSIVE play at Patton next year

Excuse my ignorance flea, why wouldn't he lodge for the National Draft?
bc he wants to go to sydney. since they have pick 23 i think thats 22 spots a club can pick him up on. if he goes into the psd, by then clubs can only participate if they have list space after their compulsory 3 picks in the nd. its more likey that only 6 or so clubs will have picks in the psd. so imo its 22 v 6. of course we know maybe only gws, bris and syd will have room so it increases the players chance to get to the club of his choice. in the national draft he can also nominate price but must rely on gws with 5 picks before syd and bris with pick 8 dont chose him. again cant see him in the ND.
