bit off the swift/stevens/dalziell topic but how is mascoulis going?is he looking the goods?by all accounts was highly rated and could have been a rookie steal

http://www.wafl.com.au/players/view/4495

Played 4 league games and a Foxtel Cup match for West Perth earlier in the season before being injured. When he came back, played 2 reserves games for the Falcons and one for Souths when West Perth had the bye. Think he got injured in the Souths game.

Hamp playing CHF for Claremont League and Tunbridge CHB for Perth league , .. so a step up from the reserves for both players is a better sign . Hamp is very mobile for his size :footy:

what about tunbridge, obviously he was very highly rated as a junior.hows he tracking now?
haven't seen his games, but he gets very little of the ball. think he's been playing as a lockdown defender so probably developing the defensive aspect of his game. still very young obviously

Yep, people are pretty harsh on Dalziell, who is still only 23/24 IIRC. Second half of last year he was sent back to the WAFL with the specific instruction of cleaning up his disposal and making it more damaging. AFAIK the MC was happy with his progress in that area and late last year had a couple of blinders.

IF you were making the decision on where players are now, in terms of development and output, he would be a long way ahead of at least 10 players, I would think. He does at least offer a very servicable backup that can slot into an AFL team when required.

The instruction to Dalziell and Swift is to kick less and to concentrate more on handball which is a easier skill to clean up effectively than erratic kicking that has been worked on but still both boy`s weakness .

Stevens Dick and Dalz playing well for EF. Koby 2 goals, keep it up Kobe.

Kobe pronounced exactly how it's written - as one might call Tony 'Tone'. Geddit? I don't follow the NBA so the name Kobe means nothing to me.

On topic, McGovern and Tunbridge getting very good numbers

Dick had 15 touches and 4.4 :thumbsu:

Stevens also good, 25 touches and 2 goals.

Dalziell 26 touches.
Stevens had about 18 by half time. I still think his endurance and speed is not good enough which is why he's not getting a game at WCE. Perhaps an after-effect of Osteitis Pubis? Let's hope he can improve on that.
