I'm pretty excited about what I've seen of McInnes.

He won me over in the game against Claremont when he went back with the flight and got cleaned up. :thumbsu:

Looks like he has good levels of natural ability to go with his courage as well!

22 is Ben Noakes, Tunbridge wears 43.

McInnes' official stats are 17 touches, 6 marks, 5 tackles, 2 hit-outs, 1 I50, 2 goals 1 behind

Genuinely frothing at both ends about this guy, really like him so far. :thumbsu:

Semi-understandable for Noakes. Spent last year not training much and winning a premiership with his brother for Augusta-Margaret River in the SWFL.

The other A.Smith for the demons confuses me every time when looking at the stats!

What number was Tunbridge Swannies? I thought McInnes did some good things but I was a bit disappointed with Sam's game (and I love Sam Butler). Just as an aside - How poor was Leon Davis - did not do much of anything - so glad we didn't draft him. Great win by the Mighty Royals!!:)

Tunbridge is 43, as others have said. Yes, I was also disappointed with Butler but at the same time thankful that the MC don't read BF and listen to the mass voice. ;)

Your assessment of Davis pretty much matched mine.

The Demons looked very flat and Spaanders didn't do a lot either, although I did like the look of No 40 in the ruck.

Lycett - 9 disposals , 10 HO ( 1.2 )

Sheppard - 17 disposals ( 1 goal )
Stevens - 20 disposals ( 1 goal )
Dalziell - 27 disposals ( 1 goal )
Brown - 20 disposals
Brennan - 20 disposals

Did not see any of the games but going on stats Dalziell had another good game with the others consistent with Brown an improving game .

Lycett a good effort against a very good EF team

Jacob Brennan is seriously starting to impress me looked great with his dashes out of the backline today!

Brennan for Embley? Perfect time for a debut, perhaps as the sub.

Not a bad suggestion but different types of players. Wouldn't mind Stevenson getting a game.

Or Schofield to the wing and either Brennan or Stevenson replace Embley?

Schofield is doing fine in our back 6 and I don't see the benefits of moving Smith either, he is in the team as a defender and won't play elsewhere going forward so there isn't a need to be over creative with it. And even if it does occur the man who will cover in defence will be Butler.

Logical replacement would be Sheppard or Stevenson. But after Koby's pre-season it wouldn't be a far cry to give him a gig.

A bit off topic but after the success of Josh Hill I wouldn't mind recruiting Jamie Bennell at the end of the year. He had a terrible game yesterday and he would need to improve his tank but I think he could be had cheap and that there is still development left there.

Shep, Koby and Brennan looked pretty good for East this weekend. Stevens got fired up towards the end of the game and was throwing himself around.

Rate him.

Wasn't Schofield drafted as a tall wingman? He's improved his defensive game a lot, to the point where he's now a very handy third tall, but let's be honest - he stands out most as a top player when he's bounding into space just dancing around would-be tacklers.

We basically drafted our entire defensive spine in 2006. Pretty sure Schofield was drafted as a backman along with Emac. Brown was initially earmarked as a CHF but after a knee reco was moved to defence.

Was only thinking for the GWS match as there is a lack of talls in

their forward line... :o

Schofield is easily the best rebounding defender in our team, has to stay back there regardless of the height of the opposition's forward line.

Schofield has just been sensational this year - awesome to watch tearing down the middle of the ground. He has come on so well. :thumbsu:

Rookie list him and make him fight for a spot

Had we not got Kennedy, Brown would probably still be playing forward.

Thank christ for that too, I'd rather play McInnes ahead of Brown as a forward

A bit disappointed we didnt rookie Max Duffy. Was tipped to get picked up late in the ND but slipped right through the net. Has shown a bit for East Freo this year. Looks to be a class act.
