2012 Eliminator Thread

My eliminator rank is 102,310 and my opponents is 6,929, my first thought is that I'm ****ed, looking at the team I think I should win but it will be close. He has some pretty unique players (Callinan, Butcher, Ebert, Hurn) but we have a lot of the same players.

Should get the win this week. My forward line goes 6.5 deep (WhiteX as a half premium) while he only goes 4 deep.

My defence is stronger as well. I'll probably lose in the midfield, but overall pretty confident of getting the victory. Would have won by 209 points last week (2188-1979).

My rank 48,368, his is 116,754 so I should win..... however looking at his team, he copped two zeroes with Judd and Selwood, who should be back this week, so it may be a false rank. Could actually be a pretty interesting game.

I'd be shattered if I lose this week to a team ranked 160 odd K. They have very little bench cover, so any outs should give me a comfortable win.

Has some very unique players (Butcher, Savage, Judd, Connors and Phil Davis).

Looking at our two teams more and more I'm convinced that Ablett will be key. If he plays I think I'll have the edge, if not I think he'll get up.

Having a look at there team, I average about 170 points more then them.

Pretty standard team, no real uniques, should account for them fairly easily in the end

My competitor has quite a few injured players and not enough trades/bench cover to adequately perform, plus a lot of inconsistent midpricers. If all his players fire at once, and mine spud it up, then it might be a tight game.

I should make it through.

My opponent has a gun forward line with Watts, Kosi, Gumby and Folau. To be fair, Kosi should score okay in the ruck. He also has Surjan and K-Hunt in the backs.

I'm in struggle street this week, This team is named Hindsight heros ranked 89,433 last week for eliminator and i was ranked 5851, this is ridiculous haha (this team has also played 6 rounds so no cheating making the team weeks later)

Haha the guy I'm playing this week has 19 pies players so I think I'll be fine. The guy I played last week didn't have any players so an easy run so far for me. Only ranked about 21K too so not playing the worst of the worst.

Last week was a pretty easy win but he had an alright team, this week vsing someone who is averaging 1922!

Luckily for me he didn't touch his team this week, because Ablett is on his bench and JMAC on the field, no emg set either. With that i should get up but his team is decent!

Ok, now I understand why this person is ranked 75k

This week he/she traded Shiel>Horsely & Magner> J Lewis
Pretty good trades, you might say...

1) However said coach moved A Kennedy from his Fwds into his mids so he can trade shiel> Lewis into his fwds. The part I don't get is why he would start A Kennedy @ M6 and have Horsely as mid EMER based on recent DT form?

2) Longer on the field and Sandi on the bench!
3) Pendles as Captain over Ablett
4) Adcock on the field over Bower..

Looks like this coach did his trades on Monday, set his emergencies and didn't bother to check team sheets on Thurs/Frid.

Teams like this really annoy me as they have obviously put enough effort into their team and on paper at least is better than mine, yet they will be outside the top 100k after this week. Why bother going to the effort of putting together and trading up to a very strong list if you can't be arsed maintaining it?

Mines very close, my opponents got 4 uniques left, I've got 2 uniques plus 200 point advantage. So looking OK but it's going to be close.

Hoping to hang into next round because next week I start upgrading.
