Nascar drivers race most weekends and they'd be unavailable for the GC round,especially at this time of the year when The Chase is run.
Also only a few would be suitable.Some of the big names struggle on the road courses because they're so use to oval racing.

I thought NASCAR was over for teh year, although I don't follow it closely. I take your point about the circle driving, different skill set

Regarding the chicane, they don't need it anymore. It was put there to slow down the more powerful and bigger downforce producing Indycars. With the revised circuit, the V8's are coming off a slower corner as well. They should just **** it off.

British Touring Cars are in my in my opinion.

The BTCC drivers are unavailable this weekend as they have their final round at Brands Hatch.A few BTCC drivers use to be regulars at Bathurst/Sandown 500 as co-drivers [Matt Neal,Jason Plato,Yvan Muller who I think is now in WTCC]
Crompton and Seton probably still want to kill Neal for screwing up their chance at winning a few years ago.And who was Neal co-driving with that day ? Paul 'Fricking' Morris
