I think people are forgetting we've had a plethora of soft tissue injuries since 2000. Why is this never mentioned? It's as if this season is unique. It's not...

St kilda had a lot in year 1 under Ross Lyon. Surely it couldn't have anything to do with a certain stadium we play a lot of games in...

On Triple MMM before the Hawthorn game. Sam Newman asked Bomber Thompson what have they done differently than he did at Geelong and if they noticed a difference that would explain why they have had such a debilitating run of injuries.

Bomber said the main thing was that the Geelong boys could handle the work and the Essendon boys can't absorb the work.

Can listen to it from 28 minutes onwards to about 33 minutes here. http://austereo.castmetrix.net/podcast/378302368699192612/1/TheRubFriday27thJuly2012.mp3

Well isn't it the coaches job to see that the players are not handling it? Things change in 5 years, sports science theories etc, clubs aren't preparing teams the same as they were 5 years ago. Seriously the coaches need to take some responsibility and stop with their pathetic excuses.

I remember listening to Simon Goodwin when he first came to the club, and he said he couldn't believe how unfit out playing group was then, I reckon it's a simple case of the players slowly adapting to the workload....
Keep in mind that out 2010-2011 draftees have remained relatively uneffected, it's those that played under the knights regime that are taking the brunt of it.

The only real issue I can remember was with Max Rooke and we pumped him full of rooster blood and that fixed him right up.
