****ing sick of this season already. Shit for Masten, every time he gets a sniff something happens to him. Shit for us, especially if he loses his pre season momentum completely. Shit for my dream team.

There are no winners. Stevens not up to it at the moment, either is Swift. My optimism is draining, I'm cracking a shit now.

Another one down, hopefully this is it and as bad as it gets regarding injuries to start the season? I'm still relatively confident on our depth to cover the injuries so far, but considering Lynch and Kennedy haven't fronted up yet it is a tad concerning.

Our depth is really being tested, Masten, Nicoski and LeCras out, Kennedy and Lynch under an injury cloud.

NAB cup tells me our reserve tall forwards aernt up to it, our midfield depth in Stevens and Swift aernt up to it yet, but we do have enough HB/FP options.

There's a silver lining in all this. We're about to find our if list has the genuine depth to be a legitimate contender or whether we're too reliant in having our best 22 (or close to it) on the park every week to prosper. That was the nagging thought I had at the end of 2011.

Round v 1 the Dogs is now basically lineball. Its a test of character given the absentees and underdone players we have. A genuine contender will tough out a hard fought win. Its going to be interesting viewing.
