Nope - stated that he and his management decided against it on Marngrook the other night.

From memory libba was back from a reco after something ridiculous like 16 weeks

Yeah while Libba took 16 or 17 weeks, he came back the same round as Mainy (round 19 I think) who did his round 2 the previous year against the Cats.

Griffen is there play maker, a lot of the bulldogs play seems to feed from him, with him out this should be a given for us. really can't see us dropping this now.

We will see.

12 weeks is a massive time out of anyone. It's a bad hammy.

Personally I hope he is kept out because some of our younger players are scoring a lot of goals.

I thought that the 12 weeks was when he can start playing?

Im pretty sure they said it was a 8-12weeks injury

But i would say he probably wont play till about round 15/16 which gives him a few games to freshen up for finals and he will be needed for the finals unless of course Hill is lighting it up before he comes back.

When they say 12 weeks, is that until he's able to start training? If so, it's a minimumof 16 weeks before he could resume in the AFL, I would have thought.

Riewoldt and Gibson missed 12 weeks (11 games) in 2010 with the injury. So you'd assume that would include a couple of weeks of full running.

Kerr obviously missed something like 49 weeks with it. Lloyd missed most of 2006 with the same injury.

I guess it depends on how severe the tear is and the success of the surgery - the reality that they've put 12 weeks on it might suggest that hopefully it is closer to the Riewoldt/Gibson scenario then the Kerr/Lloyd one.

Rd 14 against Gold Coast looks like a nice spot to return after a few weeks in the WAFL
