I'll probably get slammed for this (and no doubt deservedly) but Jordan Russell? Isn't *that* bad a player
I have often thought this and wondered why he has struggled for games this year...I think people make him out to be a lot worse than he is. Wasn't he runner up B&F two years ago?

Hey guys, long time reader first time poster, i was just wondering has anyone heard the rumour Gumby to the bulldogs for their second round pick? I've heard this trade is on the cards from a very good source. Is it worth it?

I think we may get 3 second round picks (Gumby, Monfries comp pick and the one we already have) to trade + Hooker to GC for Caddy, Toy and a 3rd rounder.

Monfries compo will be a first round pick no doubt

JJ won the crichton in 05. He was cooked well and truly in 07.

I still like the idea of moloney, but only if it doesn't throw out the possibility of free agent compo.

Regarding compensation pick for Monfries. The way I read the Free Agent rules, where that a compensation pick for the loss of a free agent would only be recieved, if the club lost more free agents than it gained. So if we where to pick up a Goddard or any other FA, we would not recieve anything for the loss of Monfries. Is that correct?

What about Byrnes from Geelong as a unrestricted fa who could fill a hole as a small forward?

Biggest NO to jordan Russell. Absolutly done, no good anymore.

There second rounder could be around 20 and it could help us get Caddy but I am against it unless we get something more out of it.
Right now i wouldnt take anything less than pick 25 for Gumbleton. There is still that hope of how could he could be injury free. Not many players in the AFL with the arm length he has, his ability to take the ball in his hands with his agility in the comp?

Also something that people dont realise enough is it also helps our backline. Hurley would become the best CHB in the comp and it would be great to see how a guy like Hooker goes as our second tall back and on the second best tall forwards.

Gumby just isn't worth the thought of trading given his potential vs his lack of currency.

Jordan Russell is an ordinary user of the footy and would add nothing to our side.

Shannon Byrnes is also poor user of the footy and will be 29 next year, no thanks.

"If" he is up for trade, a more logical option would probably be Gumbleton to Fremantle for their first round pick. He goes home, Fremantle gets a key position forward they require, and we get a first round pick.
I would be more than happy to trade gumby for a first rounder...also ben duscher surely will be rookie listed?

Jordan Russell? No!

We dont need ordinary kicks in our back half, we need good kicks in our back half (come on down Josh Toy who surely wouldnt cost the world).
