If we are to lose monfries, I really hope we do pick up caddy. We will need smaller players who can finish in front of goal. For mine this is one of Lonergan's best attributes, and many would have both he and gus out the door.

And Fletcher can't hit a target over 30 meters

If Goddard is currently on around $550k per year for the Saints, surely we won't have to up that if we offer that 4th year that he so desperately wants.

$550k - $600k a year for 4 years?

We'll have to pay overs for Goddard. He is a good player but we need to consider if the money could be better spent somewhere else.
better spent than on a player who was at a point in time and could return to being the best player in the comp, in the prime of his career, when our Premiership window may be opening?

You're having a laugh

No idea. All the posters on Blitz who know what they're talking about say its not happening though.
The posters on Blitz who think they know what they are talking about have about as much credibility as Luke Darcy!

If Goddard ends up coming over have to play him in the middle and not off half-back plays his best up the ground and already have a Heppell or a Dempsey back there... even Stanton. In the guts with Jobe, Howlett and Zaka would make 2013 a dream year.

In other news, he and Melky can resume their hostilities.

Reckon Goddard's lost his shit at Melksham in the past 3 games.
Basically the entire Essendon fanbase has lost their shit at Melky for the past 4 months, sooooo welcome aboard BJ!

Because he's the hero Essendon deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight.

Jesus Christ, that was lame.

One of us, one of us, one of us...
I was sitting next to some pies supporter in rd 23 saying that all day. "Dane Swan, one of us" "Pendlebury, one of us". Was the creepiest shit I've ever heard at the footy.

It's from this film:

So I'd say it was entirely appropriate.

With our history of landing big fish I won't get my hopes up, but this would be a massive coup. I can't remember the last one we landed.
this time we don't actually have to talk to the other team so i dunno know i'm fine with our chances

although i guess we probably have to like fax them our offer or something. we could mess that up.

There are a lot who think they know, but there are a couple who actually do know, and they're all singing from the same hymn sheet.
