The question I've got is 'can he play anything?'

They tried to play him as a ruck in our NAB cup game against them in 2011. He just didn't. Can't be a super-talent if he was behind Kosi/Walsh/Stanley for a game, IMHO.

But hey, I do think we need a last-pick-in-the-draft-depth KPP whichever way we go, so...
If we want a KPP then I think Beau Dowler is probably the best option. Former top 10 pick, he had a tough time of it with Hawthorn... was a key forward as a junior but was never gonna play there at Hawthorn with Buddy and Rough. They played him out of position as a flanker, he did all the midfield running pre-seasons etc and couldn’t put any weight on. Had a few discipline issues too I think but has reportedly settled down.

Had a really solid 2012 as captain / key back at Sandy... could prob get him with a low draft pick, though pretty sure St Kilda are keen – he did a pre-season with them last year and played for Sandy this year.

When it comes to the hypothetical subject of trading bellchambers it clearly is. i mean, i've thought about it an awful lot. you don't put him up just because. non do you refuse to consider it and cite hille's possible retirement as a reason. (which is of course a possibility. but so is hille/ryder being the ruckmen for the first 7 rounds of next season and TBC deciding to leave then and there.)
People can't see it differently?

Re: Myers.

Call it complacency but he doesn't strike me as the type (short of some sort of dramatic family issue which you couldn't hold against him).

I also think he'd be feeling the love from the rest of the club.

2 years for Gumbleton is too much IMO. 1 year contract should be enough.
If thats not good enough for him he can freely request a trade if anyone wants him.

Maybe he's got a 2 year offer elsewhere and we want to keep him.
I would see how much the other team wants him in that case. I think we have been pretty good to him if he cant understand why we might only offer him a 1 year deal and he wants to go elsewhere for more years or money. Then I am happy for him to be traded.
