With 4 spots left in the Senior List you would think one of Jetta or Davis will stay, although with Gillies signing on I think Jetta would be in the box seat, leaving us 4 picks in the ND and one in the PSD if that's the way we want to go.

I'd be surprised if either of those players were cut, the draft doesn't run that deep and we don't have a proper recruiter in any case.

Pretty stiff to not get a spot ahead of Evans. Even if there was an agreement, this is harsh on a man who was outstanding for the first part of last year.

I'm not really sure how it all works with payments but 3k a game at 17 games is hardly meagre earnings. Is the 49k base on top of that?

He would have earnt around 100-120k this season, so if he plays at the same level in 2013 he will have a chance to earn decent money again. If thats minimum wage, sign me up!

Not fussed at all we overlooked Magner. Won't be in the clubs premiership plans I would have thought, more a guy who can come in while the kids are young to cover injuries and provide a bit of experience.

Neeld probably didn't want to lose Evans; and Evans probably didn't want a 3rd year as a rookie. If injuries didn't strike him down this year and last he would be more developed. I'm happy we didn't lose Evans; as for Magner, another season like 2012 and he'll get his spot on the senior list

Yep. $49 is a guarenteed payment. the rest is bonuses. So last year he would have earned $100k, a bit better money than would he would have got labouring

Also he was a first year rookie, no need to promote him this year when we have 2nd year rookies who we would have to risk chucking in the psd if we were to promote Magner.
