Going to be such an interesting off-season. Neeld has given very little away about what he is thinking re. list management other than just to expect lots of changes.

Retire: Green
Trade: Moloney, Petterd, Bate
Cut: Davis, Macdonald, Jetta, Spencer, Lawrence (R)
Rookie Upgrade: Nicholson

Leaving 7 spots for draftees and new recruits, and 2 rookie places.

Bennell survives just. One of him or Macdonald will go IMO. JB with more upside?
Spencer squeezed out by sheer number of rucks.
Fitzpatrick to get one more year. Ditto Dunn, whose last month has earned it.
Unsure about Pickles Evans, but gets one more due to being crippled by injury in 2012.
Hoping that LJ sorts himself out and gets back for pre-season day 1.

This could be close Bartram Class. I think Davis stays, as does MacDonald. Davis has shown more than Cook and is a similarly sized KPP, dont get why everyone wants to stamp his papers. Macdonald is a necessary part of our team, while he mightn't get a game in a good side, let's be honest. We're not there yet and 2012 draftees aren't going to take us there in 2013. I'd cut Bennel and also consider not upgrading Nicholson though he probably deserves it depends how many picks we want to make. Wouldn't be surprised to see Neeld put a big fish up for trade, pay peanuts you get monkeys so to speak. None of Bate, Moloney or Petterd are worth a good player.

And also I have had an idea - Brent Moloney to be retained, but slimmed down 4-5 kilos and becomes an outside running player. He is faster than people think and his kicking would be a weapon for us in space.

agree with most of this except i think Spencer and Sellar, maybe Gysberts too, will be retained. Spencer as backup ruckman and Sellar as a backup key defender/ruck, kind of depends on Martin in a way though, not sure where he's at

Dal Santo will be 29 in Febuary, pick 4 and Garland for him will go down as one of the worst trades in history, Dal Santo will be retired in a few years while pick 4 will be flying.

When u say we dont need more kids, the kids we have that you are referring to aren't kids anymore, Watts, Blease and Strauss will be heading into their 5th seasons, Trengove, Gysberts and Tapscott will be heading into their 4th, time for these guys to stand up and take their games to another level. Nothing wrong with drafting more kids, every club does it every year.

I think your onto something mate, I reckon we also slim down Cale Morton by about 3kg's, add some more weight to wonaemirri once we re-draft him and make Sam Blease the captain to bring out his leadership skills.

Agree, id keep Davis ahead of Cook.

Liked the look of him in a few games that i have seen this year at Casey and during the pre season. He has something we lack, aggression. And with Rivers heading into FA, would be mad to let him go now without giving him one more year.

I don't understand the Strauss hate here. Are people just looking for a scapegoat? FFS, the kid broke his leg late last year and still managed to come back for a good number of games and show a fair bit. Lord knows I wouldn't want to be in that backline trying to make my way as an AFL player.
