The moves id make personally are: (note not necessarily what I think will happen but what I would do:)

Delist:

Magin- I like him but too low in small forward depth charts
Moss- Lacks size/speed
Jolly- would re rookie if no one else touches him
Fraser- retired
Hine- a chance to be rookied by a vic club
Hutchins- as above, if no one touches him re rookie
Patrick - unlucky but hasnt shown enough and 24yo now
Flanagan- too slight/soft, re rookie option. happy to risk another club picking him up.
Krakouer- retired

Put up for trade:

Toy, all but gone (bluey and him dont get along)
Caddy, all but gone
Nicholls, delist if no one takes him, talented but we need the list space. Re rookie perhaps

Rookie List:

Horsley- promote
McQualtar- retain as a rookie
Coad- Delist/retire
J.Hall- retain as rookie

We are allowed 9 rookies, hope the club increases the number here next season. Real untapped opportunity and should happen as senior list decreases/cops injury.

4 draftees to come in inc O'Meara and 3 mature agers + the Horse.

Should be good, this will probably be the most brutal list cull in a long time but it needs to be done.

What is the stroy with Toy and Bluey? Toy was such I highly rated youngster but he just hasn't come on at all. Rarely looks good even in the magoos.

McQualtar is OK to keep but only if it doesn't cost another kid a chance

J Hall is coming along nicely and I agree he should be retained.

Toy was a projected top 5 pick at one point, I think he just hasn't developed a lot compared to others and can't play at speed of afl level.

He can still establish himself but I think it will be elsewhere, not at the gc. McKenna has issues with is work ethic and toy apparently goes outside team structure occasionally which is obviously a no no at this level.

Mcqualtar staying on or not isn't really relevant as he is on the rookie list not taking up a position. Good mature body in the Neafl who offers depth/experience also.

When is hunts contract up? 2013 or 14? Can't see him getting renewed behond that, both overrated/overpaid.

Would dump Campbell end of 2013 also. Next season make him a depth player only and Neafl leadership member. Brennan is a bit younger, perhaps renew his contract on a huge pay cut on a year to year basis.

Am I the only one who sees Browny's value to the team?

In our forward line, especially towards the end of games, we lack the forward pressure. Often last game, I saw Bennell, Caddy, Day, etc. not pressuring the Cats when they had the ball in their defensive 50. They'd slowly move in and try to guard their movements, whereas Brown puts 100% in to pressure them. Running 20/30m at full speed to try and affect their kick is something he does countless times a game. Also has the cool and experience to slot goals when the team needs it, such as our first one last week.

Absolutely not, I'm a huge fan of Campbell's game.

He busts his ass week in week out just trying to get to the footy chasing down guys way younger than him over 25-30m and a reliable kick for goal to boot.

Speculation gorringe to lions, also silvagni unhappy at freo, 3 way trade where we get Alex and lions get dan?

Given our excess bigs I'd do that,

Dixon is a keeper, gorringe we can afford to release.

Look at the guys in front of him both rucks/key forwards:

Smith hickey lynch day Dixon and more.

Holds strong currency also.

Also heard on the grapevine Melbourne are going to make a play at Toy and up to 3 clubs in the mix for Nicholls. Could throw him in to negotiations with caddy? Hutchins another given his vic Roots and highly rated prospects as a junior.

Projected fully fit round 1 2013 lineup: (early days I know haha)

Tape Silvagni Iles
Mckenzie Bock Harbrow
Shaw Prestia Rischitelli
Bennell Day Stanley
Russell Lynch Matera

Smith Swallow Ablett

Dixon O'Meara Horsley Hunt

Depth: high daft picks/trade incomings, Warnock, wilkinson, Weller, The halls, may among others.

As the list reduces each season, it actually in turn improves the best 22.

There should be an asterix that Hamo co-wrote that article in the Courier-Mail.

We won't get rid of Dixon or Gorringe. Why even contemplate that? Madness. We just renewed Gorringe at the start of the year. We're not about to trade him out. Obviously seen as a pivotal part of our future, as is Dixon. We're not about to let a top-10 pick out so willingly. I know you're keen to see some of our list moved on bballscout, but keep it reasonable at least.

Dixon obviously not going anywhere, as one of the originals and who's really adding something serious to the team.

I don't think gorringe leaving is that far fetched. Reality is we have excess big men and there will be clubs making offers for them.

There are quite a few similar types ahead of him and all of them are long term suns, is gorringe?

What is his role within the team? It is covered already by other players...

I rate him, I do. Just giving my thoughts, may be 30% chance to leave and remember his currency is high.

I certainly see Gorringe as a long term Sun. They've put some serious time into building him up and making him a physical force.

I just cannot for the life of me see them putting a very recent top 10 pick on the table. A player that when has been playing, has shown enough to be in our 22. He's also the only ruckman we have (with Fraser out) that grew up playing as a ruck, and was a top 10 genuine ruck pick. Huge jump on him and can get a lot of hit-outs, along with going forward to kick goals. He's the combination of Smith and Hickey, really. Just so excited to see him in 2013.

If he continues to get hit by injury next year, then I would agree with you. But the club has spent way too much time and effort into him to offer him up this year.

Not as crazy as you may think. Hes the type of hard player we need and I know our 2nd in charge of recruiting Dom ambrogio is very keen on him.

Throw in a first rounder, that's a good trade. We could on trade it even for a legit gun.

Yes the voice of reason Sunny , would be crazy to get rid of Gorringe , you dont throw away top 10 draft picks.
