Do not want Jesse. They're having trouble fitting him in the magoos, still not sure what position he is. :/ I watched him in the NEAFL recently and looked way off it.

Pretty much his problem. Hasn't been given a settled role. If put at ff and stuck there he may make a fist of it.

If the club hasn't tabled an offer for a player off contract by the start of the trade period does that automatically make them a free agent or do they have to wait until officially delisted as per a list lodgement which may mean some players will be in limbo come the trade period.

Wait... someone is actually asking about a player that they have a chance of getting?! Not Lynch, Day or Dixon?! I must be in fantasy land. :D

Second rounder, I would think? Around there.

Haha....I can just imagine the ridiculous trades put up by opposition supporters to your young guns. I 'm asking because it was mentioned on the Richmond site that Nicholls is one we have been keeping an eye on as we are in need of a young ruckman to replace Maric when he retires. I don't know much about him. How do you see his future? Do you think he can become our no. 1 ruckman in the future?

He's our main ruck for the NEAFL team. Certainly a few years off contending with genuine AFL ruckman. Has all the good tools there and is a decent tap ruckman, but needs a lot of work put into him to bring him up to speed. Around the ground work needs work. Huge leap on him though.

Good prospect, but wouldn't be ready for a few years I would say.

That would be perfect as he wouldn't get a game due to Maric being in such good form (which we hope continues for a few more years). So considering your assessment I would have thought he would be closer to a 3rd round pick?

I would say mid-late second rounder. Probably wouldn't push him out to third round since that's getting pretty far out in this draft with all the compo picks. ;)

Projected fully fit round 1 2013 lineup: (early days I know haha)

Tape Silvagni Iles
Mckenzie Bock Harbrow
Shaw Prestia Rischitelli
Bennell Day Stanley
Russell Lynch Matera

Smith Swallow Ablett

Dixon O'Meara Horsley Hunt

Depth: high daft picks/trade incomings, Warnock, wilkinson, Weller, The halls, may among others.

As the list reduces each season, it actually in turn improves the best 22.
Where does Steven May fit in?

Interested in his footy more than dreamteam or a trade.

You wouldn't let Gorringe go to Brisbane to get Silvagni in a three way trade. Michael Voss type trade of Henderson for Fevola. The big fellas take longer. Look at McEvoy and Henderson who didn't come out firing like Kreuzer.

Dixon could be a Lachie Keeffe type defender who takes the talls with Bock forward.

May and Tape play different positions.

I'm just saying, at the moment I can't see how he would break into the 22? Unless injuries/form slumps occur, which is entirely likely.

He's a key position defender. Dixon and Thompson are ahead of him as FB and CHB positions. I won't include Warnock since he's obviously not a long term solution.

He is good to have as a depth player no doubt. But with Schade also developing, he's down in the waiting list.

I remain to be convinced with May. He showed great things in the NAB Cup I think, but has failed to get to that sort of form since.

To be honest, I'd rather May defending than Thompson. But thats my personal opinion :)

Thompson doesn't have enough mongrel in him, and I just envisage May/Dixon as an intimidating defensive force for the next decade (I can dream) :D

I still believe Bock's best work is in the back half, no point having him forward, would rather our strength to be our defence rather than prop up the forward line with an experienced contested tall.

Steve May is quality..
Could be a good swingman like Henderson and Hurley. Quick and a solid unit. I would be interested if he did come on the market, but he's closer to his home at the Suns. Need some insurance for Jamison. Hope I don't jinx him like I did with Bower last week. :p
