Alright, I think it might be time to move on. Everyone has had their piece to say. Not only are we going in circles, but it's starting to get a personal now.

I think Hutchins can count his lucky stars.

I rate him, but the injuries he sustained this year could have really pushed him down the order. I think he's escaped the delistment camp by the skin of his teeth. Would say a 12 month extension like the others just on the cusp.

True. He couldn't live up to the lofty standards set by Toy, Wilkins, Weller, Brennan, Tape, Sexton, May, Brown, Hickey, Rischa and co. I forgot how high the standards were at GC.

It's probably hard to admit for some of you guys, but you just delisted one of your best players. The evidence is pretty clear.

I can respect differences of opinion. I was only reacting a bit sarcastically to people who were either getting personal, or were making outrageous or disrespectful claims that really don't stand up to scrutiny.

My position is simply that Iles was among your best players, on merit alone he should have been nowhere near being delisted, and I have offered what I believe are pretty sound reasons to support that. I don't expect everyone to agree, but if people are going to say that I am wrong, I'd ask if they could provide some kind of evidence to support their position. It'd be good if they could do so without name calling or implying that I would like to have sexual relations with Iles

- Iles
- Flanagan
- Magin
- Hickey (will go)
- Jolly (will go)
- Fraser (retired)
- Krakouer (removed from list)

We have gained:

Murphy

So this means, at the very least, we still need to remove at least one player.

Nichols, Hine, Toy, Hutchins & Wilko are the only ones remaining out of contract. And Ashcroft has said we would like to keep both Hine and Toy.

Which leaves Nichols, Hutchins & Wilko sort of floating there. Though if Hine goes which he might, or if both he and Toy goes, could free up space for all three to stay.

The 9 Sunny listed was in relation to adding a mimimum of 3 draft picks. We need to reduce our list by 4 this year, and with the current state of our list and who has gone and who is going, 9 is how many in total we need to get rid of to meet the list requirements.

Also, Hutchy is the man.

Draft picks are included, of course. Minimum 4 we have to get rid of through list downsizing, another 3 (draft picks) and another 2 to senior list (O'Meara and Horsley) makes 9.

Hutchins always looked pretty solid I thought. Just had a wretched year with injuries. Was looking very good in the 2s before he got internal injuries.

On this board we debate we don't belittle our fellow GC Suns supporters, lift the level of your posts. Sunny is both knowledgeable and tolerant, luckily for you in this case I would suggest.

Are Hutchins and Nicholls on the outer at Gold Coast? I wouldn't mind one of them at the Lions.

But how many draft picks do you expect to take?

If you are upgrading Horsley as suggested then that counts to the minimum 3 draft picks. Also with Clay Cameron (who is probably a second rounder even with injuries this year) coming in that counts as well.
So it could be that you won't have to delist any further players and may just take one selection this year, currently at pick 26.

I wouldn't say they're on the outer, Offsider. Just down on the pecking order. Nichols was always tipped to be the first of ours rucks to go with our surplus of stocks. But with Hickey now gone, we could hang onto him and develop him some more.

Hutchins is rated internally and well liked at the club, but has had a disaster run with injuries in 2012. Because of that, it's caused him to slip down the pecking order. He was showing good things coming back from injury though, before getting internal injuries.

I wasn't aware that the elevation of Horsley counts as one of the picks. Thought it didn't count. That makes it easier!
