They were not attacking the heads. That is obvious to anyone.

Even if you are the stereotypical internet nerd dude with 3 or 4 chins, go and check in the mirror, all of them will be attached to ..... your head

It'll be the same dance as always. Melbourne will act like hurt little princesses, "we do nothing wrong" "we aren't grubby scum****s" etc etc and ...... the technique will unsuprisingly get banned due to the grubby nature when everyone else starts doing it to compete with the grubs.

Bellamy is a blight on the sport.

Bellamy is a blight on the sport.

Is this the same person who called the reaction by a Sharks fan about a call from round 1 a whinger or something along those lines?

I'm not going to comment on the attempted personal attack except to say play the topic not the man.

It's interesting to note out all of these tackles where there is supposedly a new (to the NRL) wrestling move taking place that were complained about l, only one was deemed by the NRL match officials bosses to be a penalty. That makes all other tackles legal and from what I have seen not in danger of injury. It is also interesting to note that in a match played a few weeks ago between the same two clubs in question there were no complaints. I believe this to be public knowledge but for all those out there who either don't want to do the research or have some false idea about some posters positioning themselves into a position where it supposedly seems they have inside information, here is the link to this information: http://m.smh.com.au/rugby-league/le...orm-on-chin-strap-tackles-20120307-1uknv.html

Went down and watched the SG Ball game this afternoon. Balmain beat Melbourne 30-28 :) 6 tries to 5

Have to say, Melbourne had a couple of young props (at least were playing like props) that they were interchanging that we're causing the Tiger cubs no end of trouble. Would be very very surprised if they don't transition comfortably into the 20's. The pair of them kept Melbourne in the game. Will look up their names later on. Definitely two to look out for over the next few years.

As this is a Melbourne Storm thread and not a tigpies thread, i thought i might offer some thoughts on tonight's game.
I thought from minutes 20 to 40 we were absolutely horrible. So much dropped ball and undisciplined play. Wtf was Slater thinking trying to offload on the 10metre line?
2nd half was good. Proctor has improved.

Thank God MalTigger is on a warning and we can talk about the Storm game! :p

I thought our forwards were great tonight. Bromwich and Norrie were strong, despite being againt a monster pack.
And I agree that Proctor has improved - seems to have a bit more strength.

I liked Ryles in the last few minutes, made some good hit-ups, and some good tackles. Thought he was here just for some superannuation, but he may have a bit to offer.

And don't the Big Three always live up to the hype - they're involved in every try.

Good win.

norrie is a workhorse. Good underrated player.
Ryles will be better for run.
Duffie stillnhas question marks from me, but made some good runs.
Hated seeing Matt King in a jersey other than a Storm one.

I don't like having to repeat myself....

Meltiger and storm fan, you BOTH on final warnings in this thread. Keep it on topic or expect 24 hours off.

& where did my comments on the SG Ball game go?

That wasn't on topic?

Bit  given I specifically spoke about two MELBOURNE players. Maybe we are only interested in first grade and not the clubs future?

As for the rest, the topic of Melbourne's defensive tactics was raised by MELBOURNE fans.

Or are we back to red cards being handed out again if one criticises the Storm? If that's the case, please add a line to the board rules that specificaly state red cards will be handed out for criticising the club. I once got perma banned off here for doing precisely that, and it's no where in the rules that you can't do that...

Fixed

Have no issue with that. I have issue when you take it below the belt and start baiting. No place for it.

I warned TWO people one a STORM fan and another who isn't. Nothing about bagging the club, but taking a discussion off topic with off topic trolling from both of you. That will be wiped out because I'm not going to waste my time cleaning up after the same two posters bitch fight:rolleyes:

If that is the case I'll re-frame from speaking of wrestling moves that the Melbourne Storm have been accused of.

Thank you. Rather than get shitty might help to read the posts before hitting delete...

What Storm supporter did you warn? Oh ;)

the post that was deleted and in part has been partially restored had.

1 line defending myself against accusations of a personal attack that for starters I didn't make and secondly, the accusations still stand in the thread. Clean up the whole thread if you are going to take that attitude.

1 line.

The remainder of the parts that haven't been restored relate to:

Someone pretending to be a Storm supporter claiming "They didn't attack the heads of players", he then provided a link that ... Confirmed the referees boss stating that on at least one occasion they did do exactly that. I commented on the link in question. Is this a discussion forum or not? He makes a statement then provides a supporting link that directly contradicts his defense of the grubs. I can't comment on that?

Given the issue was raised by Storm fans (real ones, not the pretend one) having a woe is us sook, and I responded to their blinkered viewpoint..... I question how that is off topic?

Sure, I added some personal opinion on Bellamy in relation to the issue and the history relating to what he coaches his players to do, but again on topic, and we are full circle back to posts being deleted/cards being handed out for ..... Criticising the Storm and upsetting the poor Storm supporters. :thumbsd:

Have you thought of doing it in a way which doesn't seem so hostile?

You're a tough uncompromising debater, but every now and then it wouldn't hurt not to seem like a complete bastard. :)

I thought from minutes 20 to 40 we were absolutely horrible. So much dropped ball and undisciplined play. Wtf was Slater thinking trying to offload on the 10metre line?

Yes there were a few silly mistakes and fumbles in the later part of the first half, fortunately the boys were back on their game for the second half. A few brilliant breaks, shame they were too far back to turn into a try. Was it just me or did the Bunnies get quite a few forward passes past the refs?

Was up in the top tier of the Western stand for the first time, didn't seem like there were that many up there - I guess they're not selling public seats in that area yet? Excellent view and no queues for food/beer though! :thumbsu:

So now my posts are being deleted because I wouldn't piss on Bellamy if he was on fire?

Which has absoloutely nothing to do with the mod decision to continue to let SF play his little trolling games, so it can't have anything to do with that.

My distaste for what Bellamy and in turn what our local RL team has become has long outstripped SF's presence here, and you both know that. Once upon a time you could rely on Canterbury to disgrace the game with every new grub act under the sun, under Bellamy's reign, that role has well and truely moved to the Storm. ha, now I think of it, amusing coincidence that combo is ;)

I still question how all bar the very first couple of lines of my post were "Off topic"

Decent crowd though. 16k. Hopefully we can average 14k once AFL starts. Rabbitohs are a fairly popular team down here though.

Also Greg Inglis - it's hard seeing him playing for some other team. His career started here as a 17 year-old, and he's still a legend here. He's still the greatest single piece of pure, natural sporting talent I've ever seen.

Speaking of Inglis, why do the Bunnies not give him the ball, or just try to play to his strengths?
They seem to play to the right wing, while GI stands on the other side getting cold.

.

Throw Crocker in there as well.

If you want to post in that manner then, yes. Troll away all you like. But expect a card at some point. You have been warned by a Warriors fans and myself. No sooking from us.

Which has absoloutely nothing to do with the mod decision to continue to let SF play his little trolling games, so it can't have anything to do with that.

I'm guessing you missed part of the warning where SF was warned as well:rolleyes:

My distaste for what Bellamy and in turn what our local RL team has become has long outstripped SF's presence here, and you both know that.

Fair enough. But you have been warned by the Mods of this Board who AREN'T Storm fans to tone it down because YOU OVER DO IT. What part of "over do it" don't you understand? Hate on the Storm in reasonable ways, but don't come across as a mad ranter that you have well long become on issues confronting the Storm.

Once upon a time you could rely on Canterbury to disgrace the game with every new grub act under the sun, under Bellamy's reign, that role has well and truely moved to the Storm. ha, now I think of it, amusing coincidence that combo is ;)

Case in point

I still question how all bar the very first couple of lines of my post were "Off topic"

You just answered it yourself. The fact you went off topic at all, meant you WERE OFF TOPIC

Get over and move on.

A great talent. Not sure if he is the greatest talent, there aer a few running around in the NRL and other Rugby League have produced who have gone onto other things who I think could challenge him. Slater springs to mind as pure talent as well.

I was actually very pleased with our performance, except for the last 20mins of the first half.

Lowrie (a much maligned player at the Storm) had a great game, along with Quinn and Neilson.
Duffy was excellent under the highball and he will improve as he adds some bulk to his body.

But some credit must go to the Bunnies who didn't throw in the towel.
I think they have a very good team on paper and will go very close to making the top 8.

It seems to me there is a great bond between all the ex-Storm players,
probably due to the salary cap rort.:)
