NFL 2012 NFL - Week 2

Spewing Revis is out though not unexpected. Bit strange really for what seemed such an innocuous hit he just got a clip on the back of the head by a foot running through. Shows the helmets they wear might protect from fractures, cuts etc but doesn't really do anything in regards to concussions. Good to see PITT will be missing Polamalu and perhaps one or two others as well so hopefully the Jets will be able to take it right up to them. Really looking forward to this game to see how the Jets follow up after last week. Were the Bills just that damn bad? Or did the Jets prove that Schotty really was as bad as all the fans have claimed. The Jets can still take something away from this game even if they lose a close one. Marked this down as a loss before the season but still had them with 10 possible W's so if they can get up will bode well for the rest of the season.

Jets-Steelers is definitely one of the must-watch games this week.
Each team will have a few key players out due to injury, which should put the cats amongst the pigeons in terms of sub-plots on the field.

Other games that I will find interesting are...

Browns-Bengals....how will Browns improve from previous week, Weeden, Richardson, and are the Bengals on a slippery-slope now given the thumping they got from the Ravens. If the Bengals are as scratchy/bad again, this game could be fun to watch in a two-teams who suck kinda way.

Saints-Panthers and Lions-49ers....sure to be some bruised and inflated egos flying around, scuffles and so forth.
Cardinals-Patriots...Cardinals D is very good and can see them giving Patriots some trouble.
Vikings-Colts....how many sacks Jared Allen can put up + how Luck responds -- on the road to bustville or boomtown?
Redskins-Rams....Rams D will be Griffin's first big headache.
Cowboys-Seahawks....cowboys are such they can go from such a high to a really down day, that home-ground advantage will be worth x amount of points.
Falcons-Broncos....Matt Ryan's chance to mark his territory in the NFL by outplaying Peyton Manning.
Ravens-Eagles....this game could go so many ways, a thrashing to either team, or a close last-second win to either team. Can see this being another mayhemic game full of highlights. Eagles are a bit jeckyl and hyde, ravens aren't a sure thing, but a solid win and we have an early SB favorite.

Naturally, Raiders-Dolphins will be avidly watched, but it has the potential of being the most aggravating game due to Greg Knapp play-calling, lack of getting all key playmakers regularly involved, and forcing players to fit into a scheme than using a scheme that suits them.

Just a quick question - I love watching as many games as I can and obviously I'd prefer not to know the result before watching a game. As most games are played at the same time this makes it close to impossible when they have the ticker with other games results going along the bottom of the screen so I usually just watch the Jets game first and then watch whatever other games later. When watching on GamePass does it just take the TV coveerage feed and therefore also have the running scores ticker at the bottom of the screen? Or is it a different feed with the score updayes taken out? I generally just download games from a private tracker site but it makes it difficult to avoid results from other games before I get to watch them.

There will be scores and highlights from other games shown during the broadcasts, yes.

That's one of the benefits of torrents - sometimes the cappers are generous enough to cut out the score updates ticker and if watching on VLC you can adjust the screen to cut out the ticker.

The obvious downside is waiting for the games to come up and not always in best quality - last week I had to wait 2 games to watch the Jets/Bills game and it was capped in 540p meanwhile I had to avoid all other games results so that I wouldn't spoil the Jets result. GamePass sounds like a good option and although it is relatively cheap I just can't justify forking out the cash at this point in time for something I can get for free if I'm just prepared to wait a day or two.

Less than 90 minutes to kick off- hoping Andy will actually run the ball more this week- but after all these years, that is probably a lost cause. Let's hope Vick improves from last week.

Hmmmm....one of the replacement officials has been replaced today in the Saints-Panthers game. Turns out he is a Saints fan and did not tell the NFL about this. The Panthers claim to have nothing to do with the change of officials.

When he starts throwing the ball 50 times in a game . . . .

I think we were 52 pass/10 run plays last week & Payton was sitting at home on the couch.

A little more balance would be nice.

Your Saints better get up today JD!! AE depends on it! lol

I see the NFL replaced an official in your game because he was from New Orleans and they thought he was going to give some home town cooking to you guys!!! lol  :D

Why are we in our away kit at Home?

Because of the heat. Plenty of teams wear their away jersey's at home early in the season to get as much of an advantage as possible. The Phins are doing the same to the Raiders - who have to wear black in Miami during early autumn
