:p I'll look forward to your apology this year and again 1-2 years later

Speaking of, where's my "RGIII will bust and Kirk Cousins will start" apology?

Do you guys really see the Cowboys sweeping the Giants this year? I don't.

Giants to win.
We tend to play to our opponents level, and even worse if we're favourites.

We'll get swept by one of the other division rivals, and probably go 1-1 with the other two. Really need to go 3-0 though to comfortably take the division though (As comfortably as we SHOULD I mean...)

I apologize for now :p but still keep an eye on that newton-like sophomore slump. Also look at that as an opportunity where I might have to apologize again :D

I like our Matchup v The Giants. I do think currently the Giants are a better football team. However they could change by the end of the season.

Costa our starting C is more of a worry the way our O Line is. He is out for 4-6 weeks.

Lee is a massive loss and couple it with Murray out ( May play but i doubt it ) the injuries just keep mounting up to our starters. Can't see us beating the G Men this week sadly, but anything can happen and Romo will need a career day with 300+ yds and 4 TD's and/or our D has to start putting points on the scoreboard.

Not confident really with any of those things happening!!!! Romo will be getting mauled all day with JPP , Tuck and Osi stalking him.

Atlanta at Philadelphia LIVE
ahh bewdy, I need a bit of light relief most Monday mornings:p

Looking forward to Saints/Broncos & of course watching what the Boys dish up this time...

Week 8 Fearless Predictions

Tampa Bay at Minnesota The Vikes QB has regressed a little in recent weeks making a bit of a trend of throwing the ball to the opposition. Now is no time for this sort of stuff, what with the team now entering the hardest part of their schedule, and both Aaron Rodgers and the Bears defense rediscovering their mojo. Seeing the old Bucs uniform last week reminded me when my Dad tells me about just how bad fashion was back in the 70s. P.S. Is the opening introduction to TNF the absolute worst hill-billy excuse for a sports coverage opening ever? I can’t think of anything that comes even close.

Atlanta at Philadelphia The Eagles have moved to fix their QB’s turnover troubles by firing their defensive coordinator. The producers of the hit TV show “Survivor” feel the Eagles have jumped the gun a bit since the next installment of their franchise, Survivor Philadelphia: Eagles Roadkill is due to air in January.

Carolina at Chicago You really don’t have to watch the score ticker to know how the Panthers fared on any given Sunday….just tune in to any post-game Cam Newton press conference and you’ll find out all you need to know. Now he is going to put a suggestion box in the locker room. Seriously? Is this the Charlotte Women’s Auxilliary Committee or a professional football team? Here’s a suggestion Cam, “it’s not all about you!”.

Indianapolis at Tennessee Chris Johnson shows up just in time to rub salt in the wound of long suffering fantasy football owners who had given up and traded him after Week 5. But do not despair just yet, Buffalo is the place where opposing offensive players have career games so Johnson will have to put a few more of those performances on the board before he wins back the trust of his owners.

Jacksonville at Green Bay Charles Woodson is going to miss some time for the Packers. This puts tremendous pressure now on Packers linebacker Clay Matthews. Sure he is going to have to fill in for some of the versatility that Woodson provides in defensive schemes but with the under exposed Jaguars offensive on the field and Woodson on the sideline what the hell are the colour commentators going to talk about between snaps? Matthews better provide some decent material during his pregame one on ones.

Miami at New York Jets I’m not buying the Jets. No sir, no way. Clearly the guy I saw on St Kilda Rd sporting the Jets No 15 Tebow t-shirt yesterday disagrees. Could be worse, could have been a white turtle neck under a sleeveless vest. In other news, the Phins may have finally found themselves a QB, the trick is will Reggie Bush still be around when he finally matures giving him something Dan Marino rarely had – a ground game oppositions actually had to plan against.

New England vs St. Louis The Pats are showing the sort of form that will see them win their Division, host a home playoff and win and then get flogged in the AFC Divisional Championship game. The Rams on the other hand look to me to be the team with the most upside in the entire NFC West, this should see them finish tied for 2nd in the division by the end of the year and everyone’s sexy pick to win in the West in 2013.

San Diego at Cleveland Could this be Norv Turner’s last game at the helm of the Chargers? Sadly, mathematics and his secret Hoover style file say no. Other than that the Browns tendency to shoot themselves in the foot will aide his cause and the fact that they are in the same division as the Chiefs and Raiders. If they do lose, I expect the Chargers HC to have more than playoff permutations in mind during the SNF contest.

Seattle at Detroit Having seen the Seahawks defensive backs up close and personal I can attest to how big these dudes are. When they line up for the defensive snap it looks like there are 7 linebackers on the field and they make the opposing WRs look like pee-wee league contestants. I don’t know what to say about the Lions anymore, I’m not even sure they are capable of stringing a few good plays together let alone a few good wins at the moment.

Washington at Pittsburgh Last week’s NBA type finish against the Giants makes me look forward to future contests between these NFC East rivals. I hate both teams and the NFC East as a whole equally so I don’t care who wins but if they keep putting on finishes like the one last week I’ll keep tuning in. On a side note, I’m finding watching a healthy Roethlisberger near unbearable.

Oakland at Kansas City Divisional rivalry game, two teams who were supposed to challenge for their division, sport similar records so far and are both very much in the mix to still win their division….what’s not to like about this matchup? Would be a question worth answering if we weren’t all busy with our mocks projecting which QB each team will take in next year’s NFL draft.

New York Giants at Dallas No one is even close to having caught the number of passes that go for 20 plus yards than Victor Cruz. So I am trying to understand why the Washington safeties were standing 10 yards from the line of scrimmage guarding air when the Giants needed 80 yards in under two minutes to win a game. Good to see this is the Fox game of the week, the league will use the excuse that it is a marquee matchup featuring NFC East (again) rivalries but the reality is the Yankees have been bounced from the World Series so they need to hype something on TV in the Big Apple.

New Orleans at Denver I had a look at the league standings this morning and couldn’t believe that the Broncos were at .500. I would have sworn they had already won 12 or 13 games this year. In fact they have only won one more game than their Week 8 opponents who unfortunately play in the NFC South. But it is this time of year that one or two teams start to get hot after an indifferent start and these two teams are as good a candidates as any.

San Francisco at Arizona Thanks to the Cards offensive line there is no QB controversy in Arizona so someone should tell them it’s OK to start blocking again. The 49ers haven’t been that hot lately either, I put this partly down to my own personal jinx with them and partly because the coaching staff are trying to be too cute with their play calling. In any case, this will be worth watching on a national stage simply to see if the sack total outstrips the total points scored for the game.

Another great writeup Brasher - I'm looking forward to seeing how Adrian Peterson goes against the decent rush defence that the Bucs have.

Also, I can't believe you failed to mention that the 5 year, $25 million contract signed by John Carlson during free agency is in danger due to a concussion he received whilst playing special teams - WTF? Some said he was injury prone......

There's a well balanced arcticle on Carlson here: http://thevikingage.com/2012/10/18/john-carlson-the-9-1-million-bust/

The Vikings paid around $3.5 million this year (far less than half of Carlson’s guaranteed salary) for two players, Rudolph and Ellison, who are exceeding Carlson’s production by more than 10-fold.

Rodgers is killing it the last few weeks
That he is and I'm loving it. He seems to back to his old self and so do the receivers.

I think Rodgers will be sitting by half way through the 3rd. The Jags suck something chronic and then you add in their injuries and this game will be ugly.

16 TD and 2 Int in his Last 4 games. WOW.

16 TD and 2 Int in his Last 4 games. WOW.
The annoying this is that he played terrible against the Saints and Indy who would have below average defenses and then he completely destroys Houston who have a top 5 defense and then the Rams who would have a top 10 defense.

On another note, I'm loving this season. The season is so even that nearly every team has a shot at winning on a Sunday, with hardly any team being a stand-out Superbowl contender.

how bad is the AFC when you take a look at the playoff teams as it stands after wk 7.
http://www.nfl.com/playoffs/playoff-picture

That's really incredible. Funny thing is if results fall the right way (San Diego losing to the Cleveland is a massive stretch though), Indy and Miami will occupy wildcard spots at nearly the halfway point of the season. Doubt anyone picked that one prior to the season starting.
