1) Hawthorn - They will be the team to beat for 2012
2) St Kilda - A lot of people writing them off. They had the 'worst possible season' with key stars like Riewoldt, Hayes and Goddard either injured or out of form and yet still managed to earn a home final.
3)Collingwood - Will fall slightly after losing one of the best coaches in the league and their hard draw will also make it tougher.
4) West Coast - I like where we're going and should be a good crack at the premiership
5) Geelong - A bit tough on the cats and I wouldn't be suprised if they made the grand final again.
6) Adelaide - This is my roughie for the top 8. They had a strong end to 2011 and have an easy draw playing Port, GWS and Gold Coast twice
7) Carlton - Don't see them rising to the top any time soon. No Full-Forward and rely on two players (Judd and Murphy)
8) Richmond - They have got the talent and this is their year to crack the top 8.
9) North Melbourne - Would love to have them in there, but have them just missing again.
10) Sydney - Just like the cats I was probably a little bit tough on them. They have good young talent but I just can't fit them in.
11) Melbourne - Another up and down season for their frustrated supporters.
12)Essendon - The biggest slider for 2012. I don't really see the depth nor talent within the squad.
13) Brisbane - Michael Voss to be the first coach sacked in 2012.
14) Fremantle - More excuses to come in 2012. I just don't get why so many have them contenders for the flag even though they had another disappointing season.
15) Western Bulldogs - They will either make the top 8 easily or finish near the bottom. I think it will be the latter.
16) Gold Coast - Still developing, finals for 2013?
17) Port Adelaide - They will be saved from the wooden spoon again by another newbie.
18) GWS - Will be lucky to win a game.

I'm willing to put all my money on us not finishing lower than we did this year, there is almost no chance of it happening.

There abouts any how, every year we hear excuses about a 'bad run with injuries' and a 'tough draw'. My prediction is that it will be the same next year, in fact I'm almost certain that you won't make the top 8 AGAIN.

Quoting his own team's excuse for the last wooden spoon but one, and a dismal finish in '08.

God open both eyes. In 2011 Freo had the worse run of injuries i've ever seen.

Could say the same about west coast list, and we were saying that the year before. Might be saying it again in 2012

We managed to improve (remains to be seen by how much) our weakness in the ruck in trade week. We had/have a young list, which suggests more "scope for improvement" than an older list. We haven't lost anyone of note, and think we carry only 1 or 2 players on our list over 30.

I can accept we may not make the 8, but I would be extremely shocked if we actually went backwards in 2012 and won less games than this year.

I would also be extremely shocked if the Saints only lost two games for the year, they couldn't do that at their peak and they are nowhere near that now.

Geelong although they will slide still have enough talent to make the 8 and GC won't be better than that many teams. They still probably won't win more than 6 games.

Collingwood
Hawthorn
Geelong
Carlton

Freo
WCE
Richmond
Sydney

Essendon
North
St K
Brisbane
Melbourne
Adelaide
Western Bulldogs
Gold Coast
Port Adelaide
GWS

Premiers - Hawks or Geelong
Roughie - Freo

Coleman - Franklin

Brownlow - Judd
Roughie - Cotch

I dont think having Richmond at seven / Cotch for Brownlow roughie is at all ridiculous considering some of the bias I've seen in this thread haha.

Also hoping for big things from freo this year with a healthy list

... and is that the reason why they didn't finish in the top 4 or win the premiership, just like so many freo supporters predicted they would have. It's time for the club to peform instead of making up excuses after every season.

True, and I guess I was saying that this year even though they made the finals in 2011, but just can't see them finishing higher then some of the other clubs.

Quoting his own team's excuse for the last wooden spoon but one, and a dismal finish in '08.
Actually that is clearly wrong, because instead of focusing on our injuries and blaming our coach (i.e.sacking Harvey), we just put in the hard work and peformed the next year. Where as with Fremantle, they will always find excuses instead of accepting that the year wasn't good enough. This year it will be that 'the players are still developing to Lyon's Game plan' and then more will come in future years.

Y'all getting sucked in by a really, really shitty troll fellas. Why waste your time

Also since I'm in this thread, Shuey for Brownlow because he is the most valuable player in the comp.
Trolling????? Yeah buddy. How on earth have any of my comments got to do with trolling. What, because I don't think the dockers will make the finals. Perhaps your the one trolling for thinking their a 'top 4 team'.

So it turns out that we were the trolls all along.
I don't get the troll part of the comment. If putting your team in a position, where they've finished for the most part of their histroy upsets you then I'm not sure what won't. If it really suits you I could pretend that they'll finish in the top 4, so that you and your football club can live in your fantasy 'Greatest team ever' world, just like you's have in the past 16 years.

I agree with you mate, that Richmond won't lose more games in 2012 then 2011, and I actually believe they will go up the ladder in 2012.

But, especially from a Norths supporter perspective, teams (especially bottom 10) can improve without actually winning more games. You can have injuries, a rough draw, a rough trot with just luck, and all that, which all contributes to winning games (not saying North did that, the North perspective is about to come).

And in certain key statistics, such as North in 2011, went from somewhere like (these aren't exacts):
-14th in clearances in 2010, to 5th in 2011.
-Bottom 4 for inside 50s in 2010, to top 8 in 2011.
-Percentage of 87.4% in 2010, to 101.5% in 2011, which is pretty amazing since North lost 1 more game. Shows we suffered less floggings, and had better wins.

So even if Richmond don't win as many games, they could still improve :)
