I do have a quick chuckle...one thing we all learnt form 2011 is that just about everyone has put GWS on da bottom...unlike some that has GCS in the 8 last year... :D

Next year's ladder is probably one of the hardest to predict of all time to be honest.

Too many ifs buts and maybes.

- Will Essendon's improve ment continue?
- Will Collingwood fall apart?
- Will Geelong finally ACTUALLY become too old, slow and gawn?
- Will Ratten continue to do nothing with a list full of no.1 and Top Ten draft picks?
- Will Hawthorn have a FOURTH year in a row of injuries?
- Will Ross Lyon have a fit list, and will they play defensive or attacking?
- Will Melbourne fulfil the potential they showed last year?
- Will Richmond's improvement continue?
- Was 2011 for West Coast a fluke? (most likely not)
- Will St.Kilda completely fall apart?

Sooooooooooooooooooo many questions. You could ask of almost every single team.

Grand Finalist: Collingwood Vs Geelong

Premiers: Geelong (Unfortunately). Seems like they have us figured out completely. Kind of sad to see the boys throw everything they have at this champion team and getting overrun by them time and time again. Seems like Bomber is the only person that can plan to defeat them, but not with this Essendon team.

Another thing is I see Essendon in 2012 as improvers. Why? Because they can beat any team on their day. Any. It took Collingwood to play at their best to beat them both times. They were leading by 30 points in that second game despite having those injuries. They also beat Geelong (without Watson), West Coast, Sydney, St Kilda and drew with Carlton. A team to look out for.

I just cannot see this North team playing finals in 2012. I have them this low because I have seen Richmond do something to prove that this team can make finals. So have Melbourne and even Brisbane. Adelaide beat Hawthorn and nearly beat Geelong. St Kilda and Bulldogs are on their way down, but both would finish higher than North as it seems. They are always close enough, but not good enough. I might be proven wrong next year, but this is what I believe.

2012 will probably be the most even year in a while. Port showed some improvement next year. So did Richmond, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and to an extend, North. I can honestly say that Collingwood will be back in the pack next year. GWS will probably be the only easy beats unlike this year, where anything lower than 8 were easy beats.

1. Hawthorn (Everything to click)
2. Carlton (Another year into Murphy/Gibbs/Judd. Will be much much better)
3. Geelong (To drop off a bit. More the other two overtake them)
4. Collingwood (Ditto. Average players starting to shine through)
5. Sydney (Their usual position. Won't drop, won't rise)
6. West Coast (Anybody's guess. Was 2011 the fluke or 2010?)
7. Essendon (Will get a lot better, but the top 4 is hard to crack)
8. Fremantle (Will be competitive, but injuries don't just go away)

10. Richmond (Ditto North)
11. Western Bulldogs (Begin the slide!)
12. St. Kilda (Ditto Bulldogs)

14. Adelaide (Just outside bottom 4 material. Walk-out will hurt them)
15. Brisbane (Set in the mids, need to sort out each end)
16. Gold Coast (Will start to show what they're capable of)
17. Port Adelaide (Still some big problems. Need at least another year)

1. Geelong - Players will be better for the run in 2011.
2. Essendon - Will be a major player in trade week plus improve fitness.
3. Carlton - Have a taste for it now, and Jeannie Pratt has plently of bags filled with cash for a decent forward (and Judd).
4. Brisbane - A decent run with injuries and the sky's the limit
5. Adelaide - May have found one in S.Thompson.
6. Fremantle - Much will depend on Barlow keeping his leg in one piece.
7. Suns - They will do some clever things.
8. GWS - The thinner bodied players will find space in the packs.
9. Sydney - Longmire is only slightly smarter than a rock ape.
10. West Coast - Now that the mad chemist has his contract normality will resume.
11. Richmond - Riewoldt will be underutilised again.
12. Power - Will win the odd game.
13. Nth Melbourne - Overachieved in 2011, will fall away badly.
14. Melbourne - Really should be forced to move or fold.
15. Collingwood - Will be coached by an imbecile, enough said.
16. Western Bulldogs - No Hall, no Acker, no culture, no point.
17. St Kilda - Will be coached by a broom handle plus Riewoldt penis to reemerge over the break.

I love the way this guy leaves out Hawthorn everytime he does one of these. Lol.

To those tipping Brisbane to finish tenth or better.

With Clark going off the list,Staker to miss the whole season (ACL), and Brown about to turn 30 and the other Talls on the list being Collier,Maguire,Merrett,Patfull,Cornelius (14 games),Karnezis (11),Retzlaff (11),McKeever (10) and Lester (3) perhaps your tip is very optimistic...to say the least.

1) Collingwood - Still have some promising young players with plenty of developing to do. Will bounce back and hit the comp by storm.
2) Hawthorn
Same situation as above, players aren't as strong though.
3) Carlton
Murphy and Gibbs with another pre-season will be extremely handy. If they can find their KPF, can surely be a threat.
4) Geelong
Not writing them off, just believe that the other teams will surpass them.
5) West Coast
Same situation as above.
6) Essendon
Have plenty of young talent who are also getting one year older, will improve as expected.
7) Richmond
Young and talented side. Their gaps should hopefully be sealed by the start of the next season and will also have recovered some important injured players.
8) North Melbourne
7-11 will be a close gap, they still need a strong KPD but overall, they will continue to improve.
------------
9) Fremantle
Read above, will JUST miss out!!!
10) Sydney
IMO, havn't got any room for improvement. Hopefully I get proved wrong.
11) Adelaide
Young upcoming talent in their second year of development. Will push for the 8 in 2013.
12) Melbourne
Can't see them becoming a real threat. Perhaps after two drafts when all their picks are in order they will become a legitimate opponent.
13) St Kilda
Will drop very severely. Will win a few at the end that will take them out of bottom 4.
14) Brisbane
A break out year is in order, they just need one more year!
15) Doggies
Same situation as saints, they're young talent isn't too strong. Will be in this position for a while I'm afraid.
16) Port Adelaide
Don't put too much hate on them, I do believe that in the next few years that they could be in contention.
17) GC
Still too young and inexperienced.
18) GWS
Above.

---------------------------
1st Prelim: Coll 110 d Geelong 74
Grand final replay, Pies will be more hungry and bloodthirsty. Swan and Pendles run rampage.

1st Elim: West Coast 87 d North 83
Definitley going to be a thriller. Some controversy umpiring decision will take the game away from North.

2nd Prelim: Carlton 123 d Hawthorn 92
Huge upset here... Murphy BOG with 42 possessions.

2nd Elim: Richmond 94 d Essendon 86
Martin, Cotchin and Jack take Richmond over the line.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1st Semi: Geelong 68 d West Coast 42
Slippery conditions make scoring very difficult. Geelong's strength in the wet will make the battle in their favour.

2nd Semi: Hawthorn 132 d Richmond 76
After a huge upset the week before, Hawthorn come out firing and are too good for the Tigers.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1st Prelim:
Collingwood 97 d Hawthorn 96
In a 2011 Prelim replay, Collingwood leading the whole way and Hawthorn power on just to fall short in the dying seconds.

2nd Prelim:
Carlton 100 d Geelong 84
Carlton's run will be too good for Geelong. Close battle throughout the game but Carlton just ran away.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Huge hype up here where arguably the biggest rivalries in football collide.

1st Quarter:
Carlton leads by 13 points.
Murphy cops the tag and is struggling to break it, Judd dominating though.

2nd Quarter:
Carlton by 3
Collingwood dominating throughout this quarter but struggle to put on heavy scoreboard pressure.

3rd Quarter:
Collingwood by 20
Cloke fires up and Carlton's spirit seems to be drained.

4th Quarter:
Collingwood 102 d Carlton 64

Forgot to do this last year so I better have a go now. Will edit pending fixtures.

1. Hawthorn (need a good run with injuries)
2. Collingwood (still enough talent there to finish top 2)
3. Carlton (can they take the next step?)
4. Geelong (if they can finish top 4 watch out come september)
5. Essendon (wishful thinking? probably, but with a new fitness coach hopefully we can get bigger and stronger over the off season.)
6. Fremantle (injuries smashed them this year, new coach new era. Could swap them with Essendon)
7. West Coast (not convinced they will improve)
8. North Melbourne (will scrape into the finals and lose the elimination final by some margin)
-----------------------
9. Sydney (lost too many games they should have won last season, Goodes isn't getting any younger)
10. Richmond (need more consistency)
11. St Kilda (the rebuild begins)
12. Brisbane (could possibly finish higher with Merrett and Brown fit and firing, showed good development in their mids. A lot of potential to work with)
13. Western Bulldogs (hard one to pick, could finish anywhere from 6th to 13th)
14. Melbourne (another team with big question marks, will need to improve)
15. Gold Coast (will improve)
16. Adelaide (the exits of a lot of key young players will hurt them)
17. Port Adelaide (really poor team, can't see where the improvement will come from)
18. GWS (will struggle)

1. Collingwood
2. Carlton
3. Geelong
4. Fremantle
