How good is Zorko?

I have enough cash to upgrade Magnar to Pendlebury but I am playing a dud this week. Is Zorko a fat enough cow to hold off on Pendlebury for another week or will someone just as good abe available next week? I also have Swan, Old Mcdonald & Ledger which means I could be taking a donut unless I trade Mcdonald (can't get pendlebury then)

I'm worried Zorko will be dumped after this week and then i'll be stuck with a dud.

Lucky the round 11 bye will give me a week extra to remove him

Why would you say that? Zorko is NO chance of getting dropped. Did you watch the game?

Bloody hoping docherty comes in for brissy, if he does it completely saves my bye structure.
He holds the key...

He's been playing well in the ressies. Had an interupted pre season so I'd think he'd be a few weeks away yet.

Afew weeks away is good timing for me and maybe afew others down grade morris/mohr/ellis etc.

Turned off after your best player, Mcburney, ruined the spectacle.

He was okay against a very poor side.

He is one of the few downgrade targets on the horizon at the moment, and considering alot of people will be looking to offload some GWS players and his DPP status he will be a very popular player this week.

His place in the side isn't in the balance at the moment, and he should be right for a few more weeks at least. He was a promising player coming into the year who was injured, he played well in the reserves, and has earnt his place. He should hold his place barring terrible form, as Brisbane will be looking to blood some young players through.

Few more weeks? I need him playing until round 14:(

At least!

He should be right for the better part of the remaining season, but i'd say he will probably be rested for a game or two.

Fact his he would have debuted at the start of the season if he wasn't injured, a few extra weeks in the gym and a couple of warm up games in the reserves should have him placed fairly well to hold his spot.

I'm just being conservative.

What's the better option? Wait for Docherty or go with Darley if he has a decent second game?

Both if you need them, darley will fall prone to the sheedy rotation policy, docherty hasnt made the side yet so i reckon get darley whilst there is still a rookie defender available, very few else on the radar - maybe W siearkowski from kangas and luke brown at adelaide...

What's up with Luke Brown? After he got injured there was talk he'd only miss a couple of weeks, that was at the start of the season. Has he been playing in the ressies?

collingwood today upgraded the rookie marley williams (pick 36), who many on the pies board believed would be our 1st upgrade, courtesy of his form pre season and subsequent vfl form.

IMO in all likelihood he will not start as the sub, as didak or another newbie will get that role.

watching him closely.

There is also sam shaw from the crows who's key back not like they need him yet.And yes good luck cracking into that team.

He looked good when he played, and will most like find his way back into the team later in the year when they give a few of the older blokes a rest.

Does Zorko have good job security?

Considering the position Brisbane is in, i'd say they will want to get some games into their younger guys at the moment. So baring poor form, i'd say he should hold his spot for a while.

Hoping that the main glut of GWS kids that just came back into the side will now play for the next 6+ weeks. I reckon they are safe with 2 rests and a bye in the middle. Praying for a healthy run through the bye for them all.
