Surely he'd be a bench option? Tough mid to come on (subbed even) as insurance?
syl, can you see any reasons he won't play please apart from adding to the likes of Jones, Magner and Moloney?

Well Neeld has already indicated he wanted Bate/Magner to fill this role of 'clearance machine' outside of that role, I don't see where he fits, the outside mid roles taken by Trenners & Sylvia etc. The taggers and defensive mid roles by Bartram and Gysberts. He's not going in to our forward line, not sure how he got DPP!

I can see him getting games through injury/thrashings - but he will certainly be wearing the council workers vest at some point during his outing.

I'm very tight with money, and can't afford both ellis and morris. Would Tigers fans (or anyone else for that matter) be able to tell me which would be the better option? My thoughts are that ellis has better job security, but is more expensive, and I also somehow get the feeling ellis will be subbed off a bit in the first 8-10 weeks, whereas morris might not play as much, but won't be in as much danger of being sub when he does. Thoughts?

With Ryan Griffen out for round one you'd think Clay Smith would be a monty to debut (without the green jacket)??? anyone else?

Clay Smith & Tory Dickson will both debut for the Dogs. If I has to guess, I'd pick Dickson as a sub. Smith has been impressive during the pre-season although his kicking efficiency is low (which we knew about when we drafted him).

I say Ellis. That means Morris will kill it.

I have 4 rookies in my forward line. Smith and Kennedy locked in with Smith playing and Kennedy as emergency like probably a lot of others. 2 to go. I'd almost settled on Pfeiffer and Hall. Smedts has to come into it again now I think, if he holds his spot he scores more than all these guys easy.

As a Pies fan, I'd say Paine's JS is very low, he is a teenage KPP, unlikely to hold his spot when we get our best side back unless he plays remarkably well.

I went Hall over Kerridge, but have no specific knowledge about either except what I read on here.
