Fyfe > Sidebum/Lewis/Dangerfield/ROK ??

Really dunno which way to go.. Not going for overall only concentrating on the league, any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers

Franklin has dropped 62,000 already and has a B/E of 162. Impromptu does it again.

Buddy is still averaging 102 despite his kicking woes and Hawthorn's tough start which is good enough for 6th in the forwards and a few of those such as Tippett and Dalhaus won't stay ahead of him for much longer.

The price drop is irrelevant with a player like Buddy. And if you didn't go Buddy there is a pretty high chance that some of the other high profile/hype picks were made such as Martin, Fyfe, Goodes, S. Johnson, Pavlich, Rioli etc who have all been considerably worse than Buddy for one reason or another.

He was and still is the safest bet up forward this year.

Bit harsh on Goodes. I agree with you on Franklin, but suspension aside, Goodes has done alright.

Not much Clancee Pearce love here ay?

Average of 104 over the last 4 games, with his only low score being when he started off as the sub?

Fully agree. For mine the forwards were tricky,. I wanted to see about the others so for mine buddy was a non-negotiable at the start. The others i needed to wait on.
Im sure all of us have players who have gone down in every line.

No question Goodes is in the top few forwards. Just his suspension would have cost some during the week he was out but his average in the other 4 games suggests this is not a decline year for him.

Yea unless you were clever enough to have a combination such as Nick Riewoldt, Jordan Lewis, Sidebottom, Chapman and Dangerfield it has been almost impossible to avoid a less than ideal pick in the forward line. Unfortunately I also picked Fyfe and Martin. Can't really fault Martin pick I guess based on preseason form and he has looked better the last couple. Fyfe I should have left alone given his offseason surgery.

Buddy was my first forward picked and about the 3rd player picked for the entire team after Ablett and Goddard.

Funny how everyone is quick to judge Buddy, but very little being said about Goodards start.

Buddy's price drop is negligible and there are only 5 other forwards who have scored more points than him, and after Dalhaus' performance last night only 4. Definitely better to start him (unless you happened to pick Lewis, Hawkins, Tippet or Dangerfield instead of him).

You almost described my starting forward line for round 1 (except Martin > Lewis, who I think will be better than Lewis by the end of the year)

Franklin, Chapman, Dangerfield, Sidebottom, Martin, N Roo D Smith (Hall, A Kennedy)

Looking at D Smith/A Kennedy > Boomer Harvey in a few weeks now that Harvey's price is dropping to finish off my forward line.

Harvey as a very strong scoring history - > in 6 out of his last 7 seasons he has played all 22 games and averaged over 100... (only one down year with injury in 2009).

Boomer has been Mr Reliable until 2012... his average is only 90 so far (which isn't THAT bad for a 450kish player which he will be) and his price has dropped, is this just a short-term hiccup or has his age caught up with him finally??

Watching him play, i'd lean towards short term hiccup. His role hasnt changed, and his output seems to be the same.

I think his biggest issue is that he has been copping a heavier tag recently. I'd say after the clinic he put on against Geelong, other teams are taking a more cautious approach.

I am a little wary of Boomer and given his last 3 scores have been mediocre I'm going to wait for him to pump out a big score again before considering him. His only 2 scores over 100 have been against GWS and that great game against geelong. He does seem to have a more favourable matchup this week against the bulldogs.

He has does have a strong history of consistency and durability which is great and his bye round is certainly favourable given just about all the best forwards have their bye in round 12 or 13. His price probably will go down a little given his breakeven is around 114 for this week.

As am I, but his price point makes him very tempting right now. I haven't seen any of his games, any idea of why his form has been down? Taggers?

two real reasons - he is another year older, and more importantly others have stepped up to carry the load, points are more evenly spread than ever before at north

A few start of the year "premiums" at a good price at the moment ... Rioli, Johnson, Harvey, O'Keefe ... all play a similar role and all have been well down on what is expected. Who of the above would you bring in? I'm sure a few are keeping an eye on Brown and Didak also.

The only 2 games I've seen from Boomer this year were complete contrasts. He was awesome against Geelong but against Sydney had a fairly tight tag and didn't really have any ball until the second half.

Looking at his stats the amount of possessions hasn't dropped off this year but he is handballing it more, getting less tackles and less marks so far. Maybe his efficiency is a little off early in the season. That match against Sydney he didn't seem to have any easy possessions and when he did they were pretty ineffective. One positive is his goalkicking with 10 goals from 6 games.

I'm willing to back him for one more season but I want to see a good game before committing come the bye rounds.

Has Zaharakis been playing fwd or mid ? Or both?

Starting to thinnk he might be a safer option the Harvey, Johnson or Rioli ... much further down the line of getting tagged at Essendon than the other blokes are for their clubs. I know Johnson doesn't really get tagged but his disposal effectiveness let's him down.

Or Horsley if he is in your mids. Not much else going around at the moment though.

Is my forward line a mess?
Franklin, Dangerfield, Porpz, Sidebottom, D Smith,J Cameron, T Adams (Hampton, Pfieffer)
I'm kinda screwed when it comes to first bye with all those GWS PLUS Crow outs.
