Essendon as per usual & North. Have been thereabouts with North until this year- need to make a statement against them. And yeah can't let the Tiges beat us again that was terrible!

Really need to see Melbourne beating the likes of:

- Richmond
- North
- Essendon

They are "thereabouts" teams atm. It would be nice to say we are the better than those teams. Are we atm? I don't think so.

That said, would love a big scalp, thinking best chance is Carlton, but realistically its unlikely to happen.

Really need to see the team competitive and working hard week after week. We need to improve on how we travel too.

Perhaps the thread title and question were poorly worded, but I'm pretty sure the whole idea is (OP please correct me if wrong!) listing who you want to beat the most? At least that's how it seems to be panning out...

I'd like to claim the scalp of a first quarter.....I'm sick of giving teams a giant head start. That alone will help to claim the scalps listed above....

Top of my list is North at the dome. Regardless of where they are as a club this is a serious scalp.

If we are to be serious about pushing top 8, we need to beat hoodoo teams like North

We absolutely must learn to play Etihad and pinch a few interstate games

I agree with what most of you guys have said!

For me I'd like to see us beat North, Tigers, Saints and Dogs. If we really are on the way up we should be beating teams in the bottom 8 consistently. I don't thunk we're close to taking too many big scalpes but as long as we are competitive there is always a chance.


I was bloody upset we couldn't knock off the saints and north this year, we were a bloody rabble and then losing to the tigers and port and being flogged by Geelong - what a disgrace! Just highlights we shouldn't be getting too ahead of ourselves!
