seen it 1st hand today nambour will win the comp. what an outfit they are credit were credit is due. what a mudpit of a ground.

The out fit nambour had today I don't think they would lose more than 1 or 2 home games in div 2. The score did not reflect were the buffs are at, but it dose reflect how good nambour are. They are a complete side all bar 17 he's a fruit loop to be honest. The only challenge nambour will have this year is how many players they keep when they go up to div 2 next year. If any side can get within 50 points of them at palmwoods they have had a cracker. Do think the travel up dose help there cause.
But that's not an excuse but an advantage most sides would love to have. Looking forward to seeing them at buffland in a few months time.

And good luck to any that come against this unstoppable force we have in div 2.

I have seen sides dominate there league when they are to good for it. Warburton millgrove, ardlethan, monbulk and the wagga tigers. Just to name a few but to beat a side that I think will finish top 4 that well I put nambour against those names.

They will lose one the coach will make sure of it..:D

He will have to try very hard.

I take my hat off to Nambour. I've never seen a club in div 2 or 3 as committed and disciplined.

On a sour note, and we had plenty after they violently r*ped us, actually that is an understatement. They shouldn't be allowed to host games on that ground. I've never played in such poor conditions. 6 inch deep mud over the whole ground. That surface is completely ruined and will never recover. Not an excuse obviously as they were awesome , and maybe the ground stopped them winning by 200, but the surface is a joke and not worthy of making a team travel over 2 hours.

UQ vs Callamvale was called off due to a poor ground and the points were split, does that mean that Nambour are going to a have a lot of 'draws' when they play at home?

Nambour's ground is not an embarrassment - Beenleigh were the embarrassment. Yes the ground is not in pristine condition but remember this is a winter sport. Don't get confused by how grounds look watching the AFL on television. I have played and coached over a fair bit of this country and if we start calling games off because of ground conditions we will not have a sport to play. Adapt to the conditions Beenleigh - Nambour did.

Now back to the game - Beenleigh were terrible from the start. Is this the same coach who coached Beenleigh last year? If it is he has lost the players. Last year they had a structure and game plan and I believe were close to the best coached team last year regardless of where they finished. I saw a couple of players in the 2's who have the ability to play up? Number 10 is a gun and with a few better players around him (maybe out of the 2's) could drag Beenleigh out of this 4 game losing streak - calamvale will assist this next week also.

Nambour as we have come to observe are very well drilled, coached and disciplined. They certainly play for each other. I do not believe they should have kicked 20 goals in the conditions though. Beenleigh did not try anything, they just let Nambour dictate to them. No press, no flood, no zone, no nothing - this is why I suspect it is a different coach from last year.

#51 from Nambour is a monty to win the league B&F, if not I want to know who the Umpires are watching - Beenleigh #10 maybe. I saw Morro take very small steps when #51 and him were both heading for a loose ball - you were not on your own though Morro. I believe you called Nambour soft last year - go look in the mirror mate and take some of your team mates with you. Keeping your head over the ball is not soft and belting players behind play is not tough.

Well done to Nambour and I cannot wait for the Redcliffe clash in 2 weeks - will Nambour be motivated by the practice game loss? Are Redcliffe good enough to take it up to them.

I suspect I will probably cop some flak from Beenleigh for my comments - the truth usually does hurt when people are in denial.

bit harsh mate! had a little run in with morro but thats all, didnt mean to get him high either, just meant a little bump so sorry about that! its not the way we like to play and got told that straight away.

not much to say about the game, score line pretty much says it all.

in regards to the ground, yes it was muddy as hell but there is no way it should have been called off. the ground will be in perfecct condition come our next home game, thats if it doesnt rain for the next 3 weeks.

one dispointing note was the way beenleigh left the change rooms and the area where their bus was parked, showed a total lack of respect as they were filthy with rubbish everywere.

Not here to make excuses but the way that ground was prepared was disgusting ive never seen anything like it in 15 years that ive played football should have been moved to a neutral venue. Not taking anything away from nambour they are a great team and will go all the way but for u to sit there and say everything you just said is ridiculous. We had 3 players pull out on the morning of the game and had 3 players back up. I agree nambour #51 is a gun and they are well drilled well coached and play for each other. Dont worry about the buffs we will be there at the end of the year but i cant see anyone beating nambour. class outfit

Bad call neutral observer. There aren't many people that would dispute that the nambour ground on the weekend was in terrible nick. Whether you believe the game shouldve been called off or not there is no denying that conditions don't get much worse. Beautiful sunny day for it though :) nambour look the goods, conditions aside.

Like I said - truth hurts. Where was your 15 years of football played? Country VIC/SA all have grounds like that and it is accepted that you just need to adapt during the winter and then make changes at the back of winter leading into finals.

Didn't I see you making excuses after your Caboolture game also? Nambour apparently had 5-6 senior players out and the ruckman failed a fitness test 10 minutes before the game. You don't hear them bleating about it. They just get on and do the job that is required. It is not ideal to have players backing up but you get what you sow and if you attracted decent people to your club there would not be a need to back up.

Sorry I can't see you making the finals on that performance. Nambour, Redcliffe, Caboolture and Coomera for me.

Soft is one thing I've never been called NT so yeah I take that to heart. Funnily enough quite a few Nambour players actually contradicted your comment including 51 who is very good but he is no Milligan.

Also I wouldn't be pointing the finger at the coach. Our position right now sits fairly and squarely on the players shoulders for reasons not appropriate to mention on big footy.

Neutral does not make bad decisions hollywood. He makes neutral observations that people who are emotionally involved don't like if it is not favourable to them. I call it as I see it - sorry if that upsets some people.

Beenleigh will bounce back write us off at ur peril.
Redcliffe to miss the 5 for me big 3weeks comin up for them.
Nambour vs who in the GF. That's the question

goes on his honeymoon this week for a month, hard to win when missing 4 games.

Gee that is a shame Ass Boy. I would still back him in for a win. If he comes back and continues where he left off he could still get up. Are you #17? If so then that is one thing I do agree with Beenleigh. You will be a better footballer if you concentrate on the game and not the other crap.

Just an observation.

You are kidding yourself about the condition of the ground. I have played for 25-26 years including country vic and never seen a ground in such bad condition. According the the players it's been like that for some time and they had the luxury of training on it regularly with approx 70 players to chose from( that's amazing 70 players) so of course they could adapt quicker which really showed.

No one here is making excuses for the result and you are right we embarrassed ourselves but that ground isn't fit for a piggery.

Sorry KP I have written you off - unless you have some big ins in the comming weeks.

Nambour v Caboolture for mine. Not 100% committed on this just yet. I will let you know after Nambour v Redcliffe in 2 weeks. Coomera to be the dark horse who may be capable of upsetting anyone on their day. I must say that I am clouded by ability to see Nambour/Redcliffe and Caboolture regularly though.

Is there any point telling you our outs though will just look like an excuse despite us knowing it wouldn't have changed much yesterday against the quality that is Nambour.

I just asked the question - is he the same coach as last year? No one has bothered to answer that for me. All they have done is bagged my comments about the ground because my opinion differed from theirs. Again - is he the same coach you had last year?

Sorry thought you answered that yourself in a later post.

No he is not.

Thanks Morro - it did tell though. I thought you guys were very well coached last year and he would not have let Nambour dictate to you like they did yesterday. I could not see and changes to try and nullify what Nambour were doing to you. Last years coach would have tried a number of different things. Is he coaching elsewhere?
