So if you keep saying it ppl will start believing you mate?? Is that the logic you are using??

You might just be happy to have a job but if I wanted to work at AFLQ for peanuts working 7 days a week i would apply.

It was good coming up against ipswichs seniors today. Tried hard but the ball bounced there way for the day. If our kicking in the first half was better could of been closer. But fair play there senior side beat our ressies.

The same fate that we felt recently. Their new club policy of playing their youth through the Seniors.

Did they have that mad guy from the RAAF who wanted to kill everyone?

Don't think so. But would like to think in the next couple of weeks we start to get some senior back playing seniors.

Well where do I start - Nambour are not a lay down mizare for the flag. Caboolture are very worthy of the title future grand finalists. They will be better if they can get some discipline in their reserves, yes there ressies won but if # 15 and 20 have a brain between them I will give neutral observing away and become an unabashed Nambour supporter - Nambour #23 needs to pull his head in also.

Caboolture missed the "old bloke in the long sleeves", if they had him I am sure they would have won - where was he pies 11?. Caboolture can win this if they keep #8 on the field, he was their best by far and then he got sent off - you cost your team a win today mate. Nambour were predictably disciplined and well led by #11 - I think he is the coach. The Nambour nutter, who I think is Ass Jar, kept the Nude Nut goaless and actually forced him into the ruck where he was useless and eventually got dragged. Where is nambour 51? Great game today and write Caboolture off at your peril. If Nambour were at full strength, minus #51, Caboolture will be a threat.

P.s. why are the last quarters with these 2 teams the longest ever???? and if the reserves umpire is not a Caboolture past player or mate I will throw away my benefits - he was very biased and bordering on suspect.....

Agree 100%. I have said before that I know at times there are reasons guys get dropped back (work etc) but hate to think that clubs are jeopardising their Seniors to win a Reserves flag.

Makes it a bit of a slap in the face to the genuine reserves sides...

How much did Nambour win by ??

Sounds like the same umpire we had against them. Even the Caboolture guys were saying they were all going to buy him a carton. Some of the 50's he paid were staggering. Luckily Caboolture were filming the game and we managed to get a copy. We were going to follow it up, but decided against it as there's no point really.

Sounds like we're in for a tough one next game!

Another great decision in our Ressies today. If anyone can explain this they are doing well. Our player in possession of the footy got a free kick paid AGAINST him for in the back?! It was a young umpire who was obviously a tad inexperienced but come on!

That same Umpire paid about 15 50m penalties against us in a practise match and 5 against the ressies in round 3 or 4. The few that umpire around Caboolture don't cop backchat or holding. Caboolture has found the discipline to play to that standard, a few other sides haven't.

As for clanger of the day, reserves umpire paid free kick for tackling the ruckman trying to carry out of the ruck, but seniors umpire didn't.

We were mighty close yesterday and a very late goal pipped us!!! We have pushed a couple of good sides but hadn't been able to run games out... So ad fitness improves we are looking to get a few wins on the board!! But it was heartbreaking yesterday...

Was a good contest yesterday. Again the umpires ruined a good match and your number 63 is a **** of a human being! He got sent off in the ressies and then came over to our bench to have words with our coaching staff while the match was still going. Then he played seniors (and I use that term very openly because he isn't much of a ressies player) and took cheap shots at one of our teammates and didn't get sent off for that is beyond me. And it that wasn't enough decided racism was cool and mouthed off some disgraceful comments that the seniors coach seem to endorse by not reacting. What a shocker as it ruined a good contest. Well done to the rest of the Calamvale boys.

I look forward to this explanation Mighty.....If clubs or coaches condone this behaviour then it explains why you are winless last and possibly why you lost a game yesterday. I know as a coach I would have used this dim wits actions as motivation and you only went down by 3 points, how many free kicks did said dim wit give away?

Good to hear Mighty. We got pipped at the post by Redcliffe too. They finish well. Hopefully you keep it rolling on.

Well firstly obviously no one at our or any club accepts this behavior!!!! I can assure you of that. The guy in question was last night very remorseful for his actions... There some other things going on that we are now aware of so will work toward helping out... Hopefully we don't have to dwell on this as a forum... The club will take sufficient action once investigated...

Good work Mighty.

As for the umpiring, I thought the Nambour/Caboolture seniors game was very well umpired. They were consistent and fair in difficult conditions. Caboolture may struggle in the reserves finals without their umpire though.

.

Sorry - Nambour by 6 points on the scoreboard, I did hear there was some uncertainty between the goal umpires and it will finish somewhere between 6-9 point win to nambour.

I agree Neutral i thought the central umpiring was a very good, as you are going to get it at this level and in those conditions it was a tough gig.

Not without controversy thou the very young cab goal umpire did his best to help his team with that goal call in the last qtr when it was clearly touched before the line. Central ump knew it but after some discussion let it stand?? Supporters have said they saw the deviation from the club house. it has and is a game of inches sometimes.

on another note did u happen to see the incident of lions ressy #15 take out one of the young u18 players?? I just saw the ball go out on the full and turned and he was on the ground. Not many saw the late hit/what made him go down after applying pressure forcing the kick out on the full.

I agree seems to be massive last qtrs between these two sides we had timers saying the qtr went over by a good few minutes but maybe they were paying back the favour from the last time reference the first rnd game 4th qtr.

I did see this incident - it happened right in front of me about 20-30 metres in. This is why I made the comment about #15 in an earlier post. It was a blatant elbow to the face. I hope the player is OK. These type of players need to be removed from our game or they will drag us back to rugby league levels. If Caboolture don't at least chat to him about this he will possibly cause extensive damage to a player down the track. I didn't realise he was an under age player - not sure why anyone has to play juniors in the reserves. If they are good enough they should play seniors, if not with their age group. I overheard one of the Nambour Senior coaches ask a caboolture official to check the change rooms to see if #15 left his brain in there before he ran out, it was very funny, not sure the official got his point though.
