mate Moorooka actually won in our last clash 83 to 34 ( seniors), and were all over us. Are you saying our ressies would beat their seniors because our better players play ressies. I also think Hollywood is from beenleigh going by his posts throughout the year.
I got no idea where hollywood is from. But gee, he sure loves the Cobs an ipswich.
Anyway, I transgress. I Take it back.
Why argue with a Fool? like Hollywood.
He would drag me down to his level , and beat me with his experience.

Hollywood from beenleigh!! Perish the thought! I had to go back and look at my posts to see what gave you that inclination, and it does seem I have had a bit of a thing for 'Morro'. I'm actually Neutrals love child and I just give Neutral observations. Nah that's a lie, Im generally pretty negative about Beenleigh and Logan and neutral about everyone else.

Who's going to be added in the 12 team comp? Caloundra, Strathpine, Yeronga?

Caloundra, Strathpine and Carrara- looks like you will play everyone once then play 5-6 games locally. Kinda takes the fairness out imo. Rather see everyone play each other twice. just keep it at ten teams.

Well I did notice Caloundra won by over 100 points in their Grand Final so if they have the numbers to come up I would suggest it make for more competitive games for them. I heard whispers of Carrara but I noticed they finished on the bottom of the ladder (in their first year of senior football however).

So now the season is over for most it's time to get down to serious off season discussions.... Which towns is everyone about to create havoc in for footy trips?!

Is it Strathpine or Pine Rivers? And I agree either make the season longer (not that this old rig could handle it) or keep it to a smaller number of teams...

Is that fact Gaz or just rumour mill stuff?

Certainly Nambour losing in straight sets throws the cat among the pigeons - I must admit I would have automatically assumed they would go to Div 2 if they had have won the GF, esp by a bit with Caloundra coming in to Div 3. Caloundra playing Div 4 locally was unfortunately a waste of time although it obviously helped them tread water and at least get their house in order. No idea if they have but I imagine last summer would have been a real kick in the guts to a proud club and they won't let this happen again. I'm sure they will find a good coach who can work with their juniors coming through and they will be competitive again.
Gaz - not sure there are too many comps that are actually "fair" in any shape or form. Really difficult to create unless you want teams to play more games.

oooooh gee! its gunna be a close one saturday. They're building . I counted 13 at cobras training tonight .
I dont believe the Cobs would have only 13 at training, something similar was said regarding numbers at training prior to the Nambour game. The Cobs played much better than what would be expected for a team where many did not train.
Someone tell the big nutter #47 to concentrate on footy and not the tuff guy stuff, he could be a very influential player - unfortunatly he his easily baited and put off his game as was evident in the second quater against Nambour.

heard the whisper of cooly, and a div 3 club (likely nambour) to div 2 last weekend. Granted it was discussed on Monday after 3 pretty solid days so could be off the mark. My understanding is that you dont need to win the comp to come up (like what kedron did in 2010) and whilst the league is concious of performance are more worried about financial stability which Nambour have in spades from all reports.

Agree with above posters that an uneven number of rounds makes no football sense, and particularly in a league with such a disparity between top and bottom the draw has the ability to signficantly shape the ladder.

Logan to win for me in what will be the last game for a number of blokes at the club - skiddy included, who wont be involved in any capacity next year as he is set to become a dad.

So many questions, I feel as important as Morro!

Pine rivers not strathpine sorry.

Carrara can move up if the administration of the club is in order and they can show they can fill the numbers needed just as Coomera did in 2011.

All of what I said is not fact but what is being discussed at league level, I believe they are coming up with a few models and working out what is the best option from there. Cooly at this stage have not been asked to move nor have they asked to from what I was told by Doug on sat.

Caloundra have requested to go straight back to where they were last year but you cant move more the 1 div in a year so they will come in for sure.

I'm told that this years premier will be offered to move up a div, if refused it will be offered to the other clubs. If no club wants it then the premier will be relegated.

Down at Pine Rivers, we have been working hard for the last couple of years to get our house in order. I believe the league thinks we have achieved that now, just need to get the numbers to field 2 teams next year (and probably a new battery for the siren). Although we have enjoyed our time in Div 4, it's not where we want to be playing our footy.

I for one will be suprised. I heard it straight from the horses mouth. In the same conversation fatherhood was talked about, and an knee operation. Unless he has a change of mind, its (a comeback is )on the agenda.

Caloundra never asked to go back to div 2, it was always only move up one div. and we will need a lot of new players to field 2 teams so not sure if next year will happen. But the club will try very hard for a move up to div 3 next year.

This years coach has a good record for flags, and making the club a better place, and he was offered the job already. So maybe learn more about Caloundra then putting crap facts on this site.

Yeah mate. The lead changed more times than I do underpants (not that that's too often).

All I know is that Strathpine need a new siren before they come up next year!

Scores level last quarter, siren goes and umpires let the game go for 20seconds. Siren sounds again as Ipswich kick a goal to go up by a goal. Controversy but AFLQ did the right thing IMO.... Sure Ipswich don't agree. 5mins each way played so Ipswich get the biscuits twice.

Again, great game in good (although passionate) spirit. I know my opponent was quite vocal towards me.... Clearly swoopa is not incognito.... Ha ha :) Might need some tips from Neutral.

Great year by our boys only 2 years into having Ressies. Thanks to all clubs for a good year. Will enjoy getting some skin back on my knees and not copping punches in the head for a while!
Wow not sure how ippy has got this far as most of their players are over rated, number 37 has done nothing all finals except whinge at the umps and the other forwards well what can i say our backman will have a field day in the granny,as for their midfield number 18 is as soft as a poached egg will go missing when the battle is there to be won,and the rest of their midfield are lucky to pick up 20 possessions between them soft as marshmellow the lot of em!Our forwards will have a field day against their backmen and the our big fellow will show who really is the premier forward in this comp our boys by 47,

Uqnumber1rover,
This is unnecessary and reflects badly on our Club. We have a very good friendly relationship with the Ipswich Club and enjoy a wonderful rivalry with them.
Please direct your trash talking elsewhere.

Long time lurker on big footy, my two cents I wouldn't be surprised if uqnumber1 rover is a troll. This is not even close to the chat down at UQ, we have nothing but respect for Ipswich AFC reserves. Personally after our game out at Ipswich in round 18 I had no doubt that we would be up against each other at some stage in the finals.

Side note Swoopa, cruel way to go out of the finals your boys played well and showed a plenty of grit last week and all season.

Thanks Baldy. Yeah was very cruel but we expected that this finals series would have games like the ones we played. Hard and close games. Who knows if we'd had another 5 minutes or taken our chances up forward but in the end Ipswich were deserved winners.

I don't think UQnumber1 sounds like any of the UQ boys I've spoken to. All level headed and respectful of their opposition. I predict an extremely close one and dare not predict either way.

Best of luck to all 4 teams on the weekend.

So maybe they will "find" the same bloke GK?? Think you have read a bit too much into what i said. wasn't having a crack at this years coach - obviously did alright. Not sure what "fact" I actually raised TBH?? It was an observation / opinion.

Back on the GF. Should be a good contest against two pretty different teams. The CHF battle sums this up.

Bald nutter bloke from logan (from the movie 300) v Jesus from Redcliffe - (look for the beard of Zeus).

Nutter had a very quite one (minus the hot air) last game and never seems far away from seeing red. Will he be unleashed and can redcliffe shut him down or maybe provoke him? Think Jesus is equally matched and a smart footballer.

Good luck to both teams for the GF this weekend. Both teams are pretty evenly matched so should be a great contest. Both sides have impressed in finals so far with logan coming from nowhere and redcliffes display at Nambour equally impressive. Both coaches have done well tinking thier sides for finals.

My predictions - Think redcliffe will easily win if they get a lead of 30 odd points early. This margin seems to be logans tipping point to fight amongst themselves and start going the man etc. If its close throughout I think logan will get away in the third and go on to win supported by there tough nuggets in the middle.
