Wow not sure how ippy has got this far as most of their players are over rated, number 37 has done nothing all finals except whinge at the umps and the other forwards well what can i say our backman will have a field day in the granny,as for their midfield number8 is as soft as a poached egg will go missing when the battle is there to be won,and the rest of their midfield are lucky to pick up 20 possessions between them soft as marshmellow the lot of em!Our forwards will have a field day against their backmen and the our big fellow will show who really is the premier forward in this comp our boys by 47,

Not a chance that this bloke is a Red Lion. Nice attempt from someone at another club to stir up some hatred against us, but we'll leave our talking for the field on Saturday. Hopefully things all go well and we've got 3 flags to celebrate on Silly Sunday. Goosh Goosh Goosh!

Back on the GF. Should be a good contest against two pretty different teams. The CHF battle sums this up.

Bald nutter bloke from logan (from the movie 300) v Jesus from Redcliffe - (look for the beard of Zeus).

Nutter had a very quite one (minus the hot air) last game and never seems far away from seeing red. Will he be unleashed and can redcliffe shut him down or maybe provoke him? Think Jesus is equally matched and a smart footballer.

Good luck to both teams for the GF this weekend. Both teams are pretty evenly matched so should be a great contest. Both sides have impressed in finals so far with logan coming from nowhere and redcliffes display at Nambour equally impressive. Both coaches have done well tinking thier sides for finals.

My predictions - Think redcliffe will easily win if they get a lead of 30 odd points early. This margin seems to be logans tipping point to fight amongst themselves and start going the man etc. If its close throughout I think logan will get away in the third and go on to win supported by there tough nuggets in the middle.
Shut down spooner, bondy, richo, jesus and #12 and u beat them. Maybe Niven????
Apart from them they have not much else in my opinion. Logan to win by 6 goals

Did anyone read the preview on AFLQ?

"The big guns all stepped up for the occasion, as Chris Fletcher and Cameron Fitzpatrick kicked four and two goals respectively, and John Kennedy providing the Cobras with plenty of run and also had two goals of his own. Skipper Dan Milligan was inspirational in a characteristically workmanlike display.
Throughout the season it was clear that these two sides would be the most likely to play off for the flag, and the finals series has failed to disappoint."

Was it really that clear that it was going to be Recliffe v Logan? I would have assumed most people thought Nambour might have a shot?

I aggree with F2B, I think Bald Nutter is Logans Barometer, if he goes off his nut Logan are gone, if he plays footy (hard, without the crap) Logan have every chance of a GF win.

Mate they have been terrible all year - whoever takes the 2 mins one would assume it takes them to write it is wasting there time. "the 2 form teams of the competition" - pretty sure finishing 5th after winning the last game of the year to qualify for finals isnt what most would consider the form team of the competition.

Last couple of weeks have featured some gems - teams giving the other finals footballing lessons in 2 goal victories - wtf?

Could have at least contacted the clubs for their thoughts instead of just looking at the goal kickers and best players from last week and trying to throw in as many cliches as possible.

Sometimes things just come together at the right time of the year - Logan look to be a classic example of that - hate them as we all do, scrapping into the finals and then winning through to the gf and winning the flag would be an awesome way to finish the year and a great story for the 10 year premiership reunion.

UQ in the 2s and Logan by 20 in the 1s lookin forward watchin Richo big bald ******* for Logan. Love watchin him pik on the lil blokes.

Best of luck to all the Ippy boys tomorrow. For those of us at UQ, win lose or draw, we look forward to having a beer with you all after the game.
Just a heads up - we probably wont stay around all afternoon. Our 2 Div 2 sides are both playing GF's tomorrow at Yeronga so will will probably hit the road to support them.
Cant wait for tomorrow!!

Mate we can't be too hard on the AFLQ's GF preview can we? I mean just because we Have a team sheet, with some names of players from last season, and a number of current players not even listed .....???? And a bogus match report.
Gee, why do we pay $10 to get in? Aren't we entitled to a program that's at least accurate? Will there be programs given out tomorrow?

Good luck oldman1. Hope the ball bounces well for you lads. Should be another great game!

Congratulations UQ Reserves. Much deserved premiers. Took out the minor and major and played in good spirits all year!

Unlucky Ipswich lads. Congratulations to your retiring guys on a great year to cap off stellar careers.

Best of luck all and hope to catch up again in 2013!

Congrats to Redcliffe - the champions of 2012. They definitely did fly under the radar all year, and even when they belted Nambour the focus wasn't on them, so I'm happy that they have forced themselves into what I think is a deserved place in the spotlight. Well done to Logan who didn't give in even when it looked like Redcliffe were about to run away with it. #12, #24 or 'Spooner' for Redcliffe should have won the Best On Ground medal but of course it went to umpire favourite Milligan, who did get a lot of possessions but was not the best player.

Apparently Doug Hale writes them himself. Says it all really.

The goals still aren't up on the website. That's OK, AFLQ, it's only the Grand Final. By all means, take your time.

Congratulations to Redcliffe for a gutsy win yesterday. Was a game of ebbs and flows but in the end it was the resolve of the Redcliffe backline who stood strong under intense pressure, it's true when it's said that premierships are won in defense. Milligan receiving the medal for best on is a downright joke. Yes he had a lot of the ball but his disposal was poor all day. I seem to recall he turned the ball over at least 10 times. Don't get me wrong he was easily Logan's best player but not a worthy performance for a best on in a GF. Redcliffe had standout players like Bondy, JESUS up forward was good but I believe number 9 for Redcliffe was by far the deserved winner. If rumours are true that Milligan will be moving up to PHC or state league he will need to work on his disposal and I am sure he would agree. Oh and nude nut ******* Richo, did nothing all day and sent off as well. At least he is good for a laugh. Good on ya Richo.

some pretty poor observations there. Get over the Logan thing you've got mate. Just be happy with a Redcliffe win. You made it sound like Redcliffe coasted in, and no one played well for the Cobs. The Tigers hung on for grim death, for those last frantic 10 minutes. The Cobras wore them down, but couldn't find the knockout blow. Full credit to Redcliffe, you deserved the win.
And had the Cobras got up, they would have been worthy winners too. Great game, played in the right spirit.
