All this talk of Grand Finals, medal winners and new competitions of late really disappoints me. Has everyone lost the true meaning of football? Noone answered my question.....

Faaaark the after party last night was incredible. oldman1 and his mighty 4s boys know how to celebrate hard!

Congrats to Redcliffe on a well battled win.

It seems they managed to peak at the right time. Also the result is the closest GF in our div ever I think? So at least the 2 teams made it who deserve it the most and neither team got lucky only to be spanked like the last few.

It seems I owe the Tigers an apology as I didn't rate them for most of the year.

Also it seems everyone is agreance that Bondy or no 9 deserved the medal. In saying that, I also heard Mill didn't want to except it and was embarrassed in doing so. Like or hate the guy, he has been an inspirational captain at that club and not wanting the medal only proves the guys football character. Have to respect that.

Also my boy Brad for redcliffe couldn't fight his way back into the side for the GF after suffering an ankle injury early in the finals. Sorry to hear that mate.

About 20 of us Roosters are heading up to Cairns on the Friday morning of AFL Grand Final weekend and coming back on the Monday evening. I believe Caboolture are there at the same time. Could be an entertaining weekend.

thistle do urself a favour and track down the guys running the mystery bus on the saturday night - well worth it - be quick tho as they ratio it off even for guys and girls and one footy trip is about as much as they will take!!

Robina have been at giligans there for the last 2 years and its a ripping joint - f*cked place to have a hangover tho!! get stuck into the MIT's at the bar.. vodka, midori, blue curaceo, bacardi and triple sec finished with a can of redbull in a pint glass - best $17 bucks u can spend!!

Roo's are going to Airlie this weekend.

Airlie is very good. Bounce from Happy Hour to Happy Hour at backpackers then theres a place right up the far end of Main St with $5 basic spirits all night! If you're really keen get out on a party boat... Rumour is single lads will have a blast ha ha

Rul - yeah i worked on hayman for a year and will b advising the boys to stay out of the lagoon and if they do venture in apply same rules as when in a spa!! We got a cpl of blokes who played for the whitsunday eagles so im sure they will b in good hands!!

terrific game of footy. Mills was good but I thought the number 9 for the tigers was the standout. Highlight of the day was the form of Mighty Leopards and the Calamvale boys on the hill enjoying a few cold ones

So Footy is done but no talk of mad Monday's or Footy trip destinations?? The GF was an interesting game to watch, both teams had excellent backlines but also had players zoning into space making scoring difficult. I'd say 9 from Redcliffe was B.O.G but Milligan got plenty. Number 6 from Logan can play! Anyway it was enough to bring me out of retirement, may see you guys next year

We have had our vote count until Rd 15 and will do the last 3 rounds at the Preso night this Saturday. Both grades are sitting close at the moment so could be anyone's!

UQ will be playing Collingwood Park during the off season for some fun and laughs to get us through to pre-season. Heck, I'm hoping to have a bit of a run!

It's only once a week to begin with. We have a super bunch of blokes ready and keen to improve themselves. The talk has been extremely positive and I think everyone around the club realises we've turned the place around and there are some exciting years ahead.

sensitive bugger aren't you? I wasn't, and won't be, having a crack at your footy club at all. It's just very early for anyone let alone a lower division club, that's all. Good luck to them though
