Carrara had the unusual situation of having a lot of youngsters that would be lost to football or other clubs as 50+ players doesnt fit into a team of 22. Even at the rate of changing the team by 6 players each week it would take 6 weeks for all to have played at least 1 game.
A sales pitch to recruit new players based on Spida? Serious? Is anybody out there that gullible? As for expectations in 2013, if Carrara can win a handful of games, be competitive and continue in development of their juniors for the rigours of senior football then its been a success.
I did hear the Spider rumor direct from RON too, I wouldn't discribe it as a sales pitch though. saint01 is this not something you believe to be true?

I think its more taking something into contest. I'm glad you have described it as not a sales pitch because I cant believe he would say "come and play for us because we have spida".
A lot of things on here are a good laugh and as swoopa stated take it with a grain of salt. The club has put in a lot of work to get where they are in a short time and if the side can win a few games the experience will do them the world of good and allow them to build.
So right about having to google someone like him. Had to look into your comment about KP. It turns out that this must be a typo as brother JP has been training with the saints. As for KP? Bound to be linked with us because of his location to our ground, brother playing with us, and a couple of mates from Beenleigh. Add to that a couple of mates that already play with Carrara and it was a matter of time before his name was bandied around. According to coaches and pres they have not sat down with him and talked to him at all.
Yeah it's likely to be a case of Chinese whispers gone wrong. I guess no one is really going anywhere until transfer papers get signed off so we may as well all wait until the dust settles in Feb and see who is where.
We finished with 4 senior wins last year. More importantly we made major improvements on club culture and how we went about it on the field. We've been training since October and the least we've had at training so far is 35 and the most around 45 (including on average 6-10 ladies players as we're training together on Tuesdays).
