im thinking of getting a permit to play a game against coomera to niggle swoopa to get him to say something derogatory to someone for the first time in his life - i bet your one of those hand shaking "good luck today" blokes that sh8t me to tears!! In all fairness you sounds like a really good bloke - jealousy is a curse.
FWIW to the guy asking about being 40 and knowing how competitve old boys is, i had a kick with some of the robina has beens a few weeks ago and the boys of a composite team made up mainly from coomera i believe they were definately arent u turn up once a fortnight for a kick crew! Hoff definately has them well drilled - and i can confirm losing in a "fun" game still sucks as much as it does in a competition environment!
looking forward to seeing how this div plays out - cpl of cracking games early for probably all the wrong reasons.... apologise if those involved feel this isnt the forum to raise the question.......... but surely one player in particular is in for a tough day at the office potentially in the carrara / beenleigh game!

Mate I think any of the boys that left Beenleigh this year will have it tough and physical but fair early. Its like anything really at the end of the day the buffs will be there for four points and thats what is on the line. but Personally I am looking forward to a good hard contest round 2

I think 22 players will be in for a tough day at the office and not just one, that's generally what happens against tough, quality opposition. No different to any other game in our division.

I do play footy for the love of the game so if I can do it without getting my head knocked off, all the better. Although we aren't all perfect 100% of the time and I've shared some words at times... I do recall giving a certain club bench a mouthful for jeering me as I was getting tagged.
I politely presented facts that we were up by 90 and 2 of our midfielders had 4+ goals and about 100 touches between them...

Mate, Your missing the point Lenny, they only pay players with ability? Did you get paid at Springwood? Why would you get paid at the Buffs?
i was pretty clearly taking the piss - but fyi, every single match payment i've ever got (which isn't much) has been whatever the base payment was at the time and i'd make a point of putting it back over the bar that night (and more than often with interest)
You're either fit or were going very slowly when you went past their bench to unleash all those facts to them. Im normally gagging for breath and the only words that i can get out are "F#$% you". Not as elegant but it gets the point accross.
