Most people are going with Redden from Port Adelaide. Looked impressive in the NAB cup and should play round 1.
Backs: Goddard, Scotland, Carrazzo, Stratton, Gibson, Mackie, Everitt, McCarthy, Langford
Midfielders: Pendlebury, Ablett, Edwards, Ebert, Peake, Judd, Riley, Smith
Rucks: Ryder, Cox, Dowdell, Gault
Forwards: Franklin, Dixon, Day, Elton, Kerridge, Elliot, Curran, Farmer, Crozier
I need to sacrifice at least one player from the backline and one from the midfield. In order to make the forward line more potent. At this rate i will score less than a 1000.
At least this time i have opted to NOT go for an all quality ruck line up (in 2010 i had a horror run with the rucks i selected, even though all 4 were quality, i wound up having to trade them out due to injury every couple of rounds).
I have tinkered with a second line up, which contains no stars.... but will also only get me a score of 1000 or less

I went with the new-recruit based rucks provided that it's too hard to predict the premiums this year and their performance. Granted, Redden, Stephenson and Giles are all going to be major players for their clubs they were too hard to pass up at those prices. As a Cats fan though I must admit I don't think Stephenson will have an impact like the others.
My young subs are likely to change in a matter of hours once the teams have been released, they are basically there on preseason form.
I know a lot of you will be questioning my defence but there is no reason why they (bar Deledio, Carrazzo and Malceski) shouldn't be around the 80 mark. Bugg and Ellis I think are in for a great season. Hopefully Cam Guthrie starts regurlarly and Golby and Hargrave are both in form for Lions and Dogs.
Other than that I don't think you could question the midfield or forward line (I know I have three Hawkas in the forward line but I'll make trades accordingly before byes)
